The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

"I think you do just fine being the loudest in the room Revna, and I haenever claimed to be anything or anyone better than the next, arrogance is best left to those who enjoy failure," Odina had responded to the increasingly clearly unstable and listened to Revna, she heard the threats and yet she was not going to raise and meet them. She smoothed out her dress staring at P'ol turning the angry woman's words in her head over and over, she notated the silence of Sigyn but again Odina remained quiet for a bit.
Collecting herself finally she offered @rina a kind smile, "The position is yours Rina if the Elders don't oppose?" Odina looked to them and it was a few moments of whispering as the Elders debated. The longer Kelder remained absent the more Odina grew suspicious and worried that something had happened to her...where was her sister? The children?
Finally the Elders sent the one who spoke for them, "We have agreed that @rina will do fine as your second, she cares deeply about her sisters and the daughters of Cambria, it would do well to have someone of full blood sitting beside you Governor Odina...it might make some of the others more comfortable."
"Thank you Elders, I believe the same, in truth I hope my position here is temporary and that when I can leave Rina here can assume the position," she didn't know if that was true, Odina didn't know how long temporary meant or if this was temporary at all but for now she was trying to find a band-aid to smooth over the gashes of hatred.
"Sigyn...I would also like for you to become our head Witch Doctor...," Odina finally was able to cast her eyes over the woman, she wished she could tell them the truth. Her truth. Who she was...what she wanted...but would they understand?
Perhaps it was a risk she should take?
"You can think it over but it's necessary, the role has always been necessary."
One elder decided to speak up as well. As there was not just positive thoughts about Odina and her take over with Nevermere. That would be impossible. "Odina no matter how much was disagree with Revna, you need to speak on things Nevermere has done in your name. They promised to stay out of the Sanctum and to not interfere in our religion. How can we trust that they will not do such things again?"
Her words were directed at Odina Ellis and now @rina too.
Odina Ellis knew how Sigyn felt about Nevermere and Odina being the new chieftess, so it came as a surprise that the woman offered her the position of Witch Doctor. The blonde opened her mouth and closed it again. She truly didn't know what to say. It was a great and honourable position, but did she want it?
"Do I have a choice?" she asked in return. "If I say no, will I have the same fate as my mother?" She couldn't imagine Nevermere would approve of Odina appointing the daughter of Isolde as the Witch Doctor. "I don't trust you, and you don't trust me. How do I know I won't just get a title, but that my every move will be monitored closely? Would I even be a free woman?"
These were just a few questions she had, but most of all, she would want to discuss this with @revna. Odina would need to give them more in order for them to trust her.

Odina first turned to the Elder as Sigyn thought still on Odina's offer, "I will have to trust that we aren't going to drag more Cambrain women in the night to brand them, and Cassian had kept his end of the deal until things done in the dark were brought to the light, he saw it as an attack against people he had agreed to protect. It wasn't Witches nor men who hurt these women," Odina paused as Sigyn spoke, "I understand your concerns all of them, and I want to work with on them but this was the coldest shoulder and welcome I have experienced on these lands and trust me I survived being the outcast here once before..I can do it again, but I would rather be hand in hand with you all instead of this," she was meaning the entire day so far, "Sigyn you will be able to continue to manage the Sanctum, privately, but please stop insisting on rituals that hurt our own, work with me, give me the chance...I will look into your Mother's whereabouts if that's something you want.."
Everything Odina said was promising, but she had a tough time believing it. "Work with you, not Nevermere? Aren't you two interchangable?" She scoffed. "I don't know, Odina. I don't trust easily, especially not if the one I'm supposed to trust was an accomplice to making my mother disappear." She didn't believe that Odina would or could look into the whereabouts of her mother. What was she going to do, go against Nevermere? If that was her plan, she would need to hear her say it before she would consider trusting the woman.

"I'm asking you to trust your faith, trust is a two way crossing and that is all I can offer," she hid her words in what she said, "at this timeSigyn," if these women knew what she as trying to potentially save them from and the strife, but Odina knew that a longer game was at foot here, "My offer stands still on the position. It will be available until you give me a clear answer.."
