The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Waiola was working on her training. She had normal training, good enough if they was ever a fight that she know how to defend herself, but she wasn't no Valkyrie. Which for Waiola was fine because she would rather stay in the back and heal people where needed. Truth be it she rather there be no fighting, but there are Cambrian women and they are strong and independent and will fight for what is rightfully theres.
She doesn't really like the fact that Nevermere people are here espically nevermerian men like what is going through there heads to think that they have any right to be on their lands. Like they did what they want to do. Now they can go back to Nevermere. We don't want them here and she doesn't want her daughter to be influence by these men.
She feels angry that they are here and is currently using her swords and waking it against a stomp trying to let out the anger within her.

Speaking of the unwanted men, Octavius was off duty and finding something to do. It was nice for him to be back in Cambria. He'd been stationed here for almost four years in the past, and it had become a kind of home away from home. He knew not every Cambrian wanted him and Nevermere there, but some did. He'd made friends. A lover, even. He'd come to appreciate many things about the culture and the women. He admired them.
That's what he was currently doing: admiring a blonde going hard at a stump. He assumed she wasn't one of the Nevermerean lovers because he didn't know her. You meet a lot of people in four years, especially when you are as social as Wulbrand.
He didn't call out to her or interrupt. He just watched and appreciated.
Taking a well to notice the presence of the men. He had an smell that men have and it brought more annoyance to her with him just standing there and watching her. However, she kept on swinging her sword at the stomp trying her best that she was not a woman he could mess around with. She wasn't just some pretty thing he can call his for a bit then throw away when he gets bored.
After a moment she couldn't stand him just standing there just watching her. "Am I some form of entertainment for you?" Her voice carried a voice of annoyance in it. She wasn't going to play nice because their are "Guest" on their land. She never invited them here, she didn't want them here. She didn't take her eyes on the stomp as she keep on swinging.

Octavius' head ducked a little when the woman spoke to him. He hadn't meant to--this wasn't supposed to be--well, there was no use ignoring her words. If he walked away without responding to avoid conflict then he'd have a target on his back. Cambrians were good at target practice...
"Uhm, sorry! I, uh, I'm just..." He knew this wouldn't sound right. His hand raised to scratch the back of his head as his words lulled. "Uhm...yes? But not in a weird way. Like, I'm not scouting my next lay or anything." Someone needed to grab his foot and shove it in that mouth hole real deeply. He opened his mouth, flexed his jaw a little, then tried again:
"You're very good at what you do. You and all your sisters. I'm...honestly, a little envious."
As the this poor excuse of a man tried to speak to her, she looked at him with a questionable look on her face. "wow 'or anything', what that phrase you Nevermeanian say? 'Have the Cat got your tongue?'" For a place that climbed to be civilised, he has a great way with words. Walking over to where he was standing and circled him a little to have a better look at him.
"What can I say, me and my sister are not someone you can cross." Waiola wasn't just a simple blonde that people can cross, yes she is kind. But she can have a mean bite. A best of both worlds really.

"A--a cat?" Octavius, thoroughly confused by this woman's expression, said no more on the topic. He had seen what an angry Cambrian could do, and he had no intention of dying (or being broken) today. At her words, he raised his hands to show they were empty.
"I have no doubt about that, nor do I have any desire to cross you. I was simply..." the words died in his mouth again. He hiked a thumb over his shoulder. "I should go." He'd start to back away.
Upon carefully observing the man, she discerned that he was approximately her age, with a possible variance of a year. Initially, she contemplated indulging in some playful banter with him, but quickly reconsidered and softened her expression. "You needn't depart. Please forgive me if I frightened you; I'm feeling rather irritable. It's not your fault," she offered, feeling a sense of calm wash over her as she realized that the man didn't pose any real danger to her.
"names is Waiola." Waiola couldn't help but admire his intriguing persona. However, she couldn't help but notice that there was room for improvement in his communication skills. Nonetheless, she remained optimistic and looked forward to exploring their potential connection further.

Octavius wasn't sure whether to be happy that she invited him back or more afraid. She'd changed what had seemed to be a made up mind rather quickly, giving him just cause for suspicion. Still, as much as he didn't want to irritate her, he also didn't want to offend her.
"Yeah, okay, sure." He said, nodding, reversing the direction his feet were moving him in, closing the gap between them a little. "I'm Octavius Wulfbrand. You'll hear soldiers calling me Wulfbrand. Or Wulf," he added the last one with an awkward chuckle and a shrug of one shoulder. It was kinda cool, also kinda lame. He'd let her be the one to decide what she wanted to call him.
Waiola looked at the man with a confused look upon her face when he said his name then with some nicknames. "Wulf, like the animal?" She gave a soft laugh. "Intriguing to say the least. How are you finding Cambria?" Wanting to get a sense of what he thought about her sisters and what they helped made. Of course she has her opinions about these men coming here.

Octavius grinned goofily and nodded.
“Like the animal.” He affirmed. Then, “This actually isn’t my first time here. I spent four years here in the beginning.” The beginning. When Nevermere first took Cambria. And to summarize:
“I actually love it.” He said it like he was admitting a dirty secret.
There was a soft laugh that came from Waiola's mouth when Octavius explained that it was just like the animal. It was odd that Waiola would willing laugh in front of a man. however, it just happened to be funny. "Well nice to know that you Nevermearian's have a funny bone in you somewhere." She doubts that it is in the right place it these soldiers are just strange, Nevermere is just strange.
When he explained that he been here for four years she was surprised. "Four years and we haven't mat before, either you have very good health or be silly enough to visit the healers tent when it was my mum working. She has more of a bite then I do." Her mother hates strangers she still treats that but she has a way with words that you has to be of strong minded to put up with her.

Octavius’ eyebrows rose as he took interest in Waiola’s response.
“I’m healthy…but if I wasn’t you’re likely to find me at a witch’s tent looking for a potion.” But clearly he was interested in this apparent friendliness towards Nevermerean men. “You’re a healer?” A quiet smile spread across his lips as he asked it. “You’d help me if I needed it?”
"potions?I heard a few things about them, always fascinated me how other kingdoms use their environment around them." She explained. When he asked if she was a healer she smiled softly. "I am, my mum trained me and my younger sisters from a young age." Laughing softly when Octavius asked if he came to her tent if she would heal him. "I would heal you Wulf, I won't let people out ill or injured if I could help them. At the end of the day you would be in my care." Hoping that by calling him by Wulf he would feel more relaxed around her.

Octavius smiled his broad, crooked, arguably charming smile at Waiola. She’d gone from on the verge of chopping him to guaranteeing she’d care for him. That was progress to him.
“Well thank you. I always knew Cambrians were good people.” His smile raised a little. “Can I ask you something? I can understand, based on your history, why you hate the men of Coheed. The way they treat women is reportedly barbaric. But…” he hesitated a little, as if nervous to ask it, “why do most of you also hate men of Neveremere?”
When he asked about why they hate the man of Nevermere she had to think for a bit. "We had little interaction with other men from different nations, we only know one type of man for so long. So when people come into our lands saying that they want to help us, that is a little strange. Men don't normally want to help women, so our defence is up expecting the worst."
It just what was built into them, they only knew barbarians sort of men and thought that all men were like that. "Kindness was never shown to us in Coheed. So we only known men to think of themself as more important." She looked down softly thinking of when she visited Coheed. Her daughter's father wasn't the worst man in Coheed in comparison but Waiola still wish that her daughter never has to meet her dad.
