[ONESHOT]
Just yesterday Akagi Llewellyn had appointed her King's Hand, and her first order of business was some personal business. The attack on the wall was still fresh, and whispers of the Eldouir were omnipresent. You barely could walk through the streets without hearing citizens converse about the devils. Cordelia had been around for long enough to know the red-headed family wouldn't back down anytime soon. She was very much alive when the Gifted war happened in Lorendale, and she had read about how the Eldouir had worked with and later against the royal family. The collars that had been created in Arynn Frey at the time had proven to be very useful, and Sylas Llewellyn 's augmented version of those collars possessed even more possibilities for restricting a Gifted.
Cordelia had asked one of the crown's enchanters to meet with her in her home. She knew she wouldn't be able to get her hands on the original collars that were used during the war, or on one of the collars that her nephew had created, but slave collars were relatively common, yet very strong and useful. Although she wasn't a Slave Master, her position and influence made it possible for her to request ownership of said collars.
The enchanter had brought her two slave collars, along with a Slavemaster Ring. They could connect to up to 20 collars, so just having one for the two would suffice. The woman offered the enchanter something to drink and the two of them talked for a while about enchantments and the collars.
Once she was alone again, Cordelia put the collars in a chest and locked it. She put the key on her necklace. The chest was enchanted, and if anyone attempted to open the chest without the key, a burst of electricity would come from it. The key was the only way to surpass the enchantment.
She already felt more safe, although safe wasn't exactly the right word. She felt... satisfied. Her whole idea, and intentions, were to have collars available in case she ever needed them. The Eldouir weren't going to be leaving anytime soon, and the possibility of getting one of those collars on their necks was what made her feel better.
