The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

Tallis watched in wonderment as the shovel rematerialized. It took a moment for the inevitable truth to sink in, the one captured in the knowledge of what it meant to be a Scorza twin. To have a counterpart to your soul, to your gift, to your whole being. Suddenly, it all clicked into place…though that didn’t stop the cold, sinking feeling in her gut that came with it. She looked up at Cezar, a strange mix of apology and excitement and confusion all swirling together in her features.
“It’s you,” She whispered to herself before continuing in greater volume, “You’re one of us. Family. Not a Morand, but a Scorza. You—” Tallis’s brow furrowed, stunned by the reality to unbelievable for her to fully compute, “You’re who I’ve been searching for."

Cezar didn't respond right away but his stare never left hers even as he took an unconscious half step back as he tried to comprehend what she was saying and why it didn't feel like she was wrong. But how could that be right? To his own knowledge, he was as much his parents son as his brothers were. He had never had any idea he was actually adopted or that they knew who he really was. So why did he not just automatically assume that Tallis was either wrong or that she was lying?
"I-" he stuttered to try to come up with something to say. "How can you be so sure? A mark on my side and we both have gifts? How could I be-" he didn't finish that thought as the last thing she said echoed in his mind. "You've been searching for me?" he asked, feeling a lightness in his chest at the notion even through the confusion he was currently dealing with.
