The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
There was times where Mysie would remember what it was like when she first experienced her gift. It was a scary experience, she could of really hurt the members of her family and it did take a lot of training. She did this untill she felt confident enough that she felt safe to be round her friends and family. Due to her gift nature she can really harm people and she know the damage she can cause. At the same time she also know that her emotions need to be in check so she doesn't cause any damage or kill people.
Today, she was the small town of Churasqa an half a day carriage ride outside of Lorendale. She grew up in this town and she love the community here. However as she was walking around she noticed that there was flooding happening however the point where the water comming from there was no river, which of course sparked Mysie interest. As she walked towards the scean. She noticed that there was a young boy around seven was crying as water started to raise around him and he also looked terrified. the people are running away.
Mysie, being Mysie lifting her dress up slightly as she walked towards the boy. "Hey, breath everything going to be okay." Mysie gave the boy a smile.
"I am scared, I want mummy and daddy." The boy cried a bit more and water started going a bit faster.
"It okay to be scared but I am going to help ou look for your mummy and daddy, everything going to okay. keep your eyes on me we going to get through this."

Churasqa seemed a quaint town, farms to work at, an inn to entertain, even a barn to sleep in. Luxuries out on the road, and rising water, how could he forget that beautiful sight.
Wait Water?
He pointed down behind the crowd, his mouth agape. The large bald mute man with him jumped up and down. People wondered whether it was part of the act and laughed. Till they soon realised it was all around them.
”RUN.” An old sailor scooped up his young daughter and ran off as the water continued to rise. A man in the crowd struggling to climb, falling off a wall. SCREAMS erupted and shouts as people tried to cling to something.
More water rose, the animals were kicking and screaming, people rushing to cut them loose. Tacen and his troupe were trying to run wide of the flood but saw no source, helping who they could with them. People were going to roofs, moving up structures to avoid the rising level. It slowed though because unknown to Tacen, someone was there with the cause of it all.
Running straight forward at a tumble over flooded paths, he fell to his knees. The woman he was helping fell over with him “Quickly run!” He shouted over to Mysie Allemeade and the boy with her. No idea what was really going on. “Yer have’ta get outta here!" The blond frazzled appearance of the young performer was further encased in a now-soaked oversized hat.
One of the village's men with Tacen's group lunged a heavy hand to grab the emotional child and...

When she noticed somebody call over to them to run Mysie stood up to protect the child in a way. "please everyone stay calm." She got to the child's level again. "We all going to be fine." The boy in clearly shaken up. Mysie looked around and noticed that Tacen Harn looks like some sort of entertainer."do you know any tricks?" Mysie thought that if they can distract the boy long enough he can calm down to the level that the raising flood water come to a stop. She stayed calm and a picture of composer in this situation. The last thing this town needs in homes being flooded by a child and people running won't help the child learn to control his gift if he always scared of it.

...the villager reaching for the boy was beside himself, ”there’s water are you mad!” He was stopped gently by an extremely large bald man, Bocke was as gentle as they come but had the strength of a stubborn bull, carrying the villager back a pace.
Tacen had so many artistic tools on him to make a performance, he was spoiled for choice, reading people better than most, he picked up Mysie Allemeade 's cue. “Ya know, I think I do.” He put his hand to his chin. Deciding on some multi-colored juggling balls from his belt, making one disappear behind his hand.
Eyes wide and a bright smile, Tacen found the ball under his over-sized floppy hat in a simple magic trick. Hoping it made the child smile. Then he made a stupid face and pulled a handkerchief from out of his sleeve. It kept coming and coming and coming, so much so it formed an endless ribbon which piled at his feet. With a clap, out of seemingly nowhere, a wooden toy was in his hand, he bent down and gave the boy a small carved horse.
Some of the villagers were distracted too. Waters might just stop rising, people probably saw the sense in Mysie Allemeade 's plan. Sadly the peace did not last.
”The boys cursed!” Yelled one elderly villager, the watching villagers beginning to understand this was no accident but a gifted child. Fishing out his clothing from the flood and pointing a stick “A sea dragon!” Which was about as absurd as it sounded to most here. “He’ll drown us all!” There were some murmurs and another villager who knew the boy began arguing with the older man.
”Oh aye what about my horses, their in a right panic they are,” shouted another, with a more down-to-earth concern. Most though were scared and trying to avoid the water. A few of his friends pointing and whispering to themselves, probably the hardest to see if he noticed, their parents dragging them somewhere safe.
Tacen knew moments like this often changed lives, leaving a scar or memory that someone gave a damn.

Seeing the boy relaxed and the water slows down to a stop. "See you can do it." When there was shouting calling the boy a monster and cursed Mysie stood up and looked towards the people. The boy quickly hides behind Mysie. "He is not a monster not cursed, he is a child who is scared just like everyone here. now do you honestly think calling him a monster will help him or anyone here?" Mysie's voice carried as she looked towards the crowd.
Looking towards Tacen Harn "Toether we can help things back to where they were. There a saying that's basically says 'it take a village...' Let show that we can help this child that he can keep his gift under control. But first step is believing in him."

Tacen was inspired, he was friendly enough to people on most days, but she was up here in front of a non-too-happy crowd asking for them to help and come together. All because she believed in a kid. Wading the water he splashed it lightheartedly. Well you could bet your brimstools, she wasn't going to be standing there alone in front of everyone.
“Ah have a heart. Most o’us gowberries can use a wash, right?” Tacen’s slang even escaped some of the locals, what the hell was a gowberry. Not liked it mattered. He stepped behind Mysie Allemeade , either unhelpfully or helpfully offering his support. “With yer miss. If you’be ‘aving us”
”Oh yer fancy talkin and sweet words ain’t gonna fix me garden, two weeks of veggies all washed away,” one of the larger women crossed her arms and huffed to both of them, "and Mags horses all flustered."
“We’ll pay.” Tacen offered, though he was broker than he looked, soaking wet with a face full of dirt water lingering along his cheek. ”We will?” His old sailor friend said beside him, looking bemused, “Aye we will!” The old sailor rallied himself. Well at least they’d fix things, and hopefully get some food for doing so, or not be chased out of town, again.
Tacen smiled to the boy, “bit’o’water ain’t so bad,” he said happily to comfort the kid. A few of the townsfolk had gathered around and seemed to agree with Mysie. He was one of their own, but where were his parents?

The boy looked around her as the man who juggled started talking. "Yeah if anybody need to talk about money for any damage, come to me and we can talk about supporting you," Mysie wrapped her arms around the young boy. As she looked around as she looked at the damage cursed by this. She can understand why people are upset, however, she knows that people shouting and panicking won't make this go away any faster.
When Tacen Harn spoke to the boy he looked towards him. "Thank you sir for helping me.
Mysie looked around to see if she can spot anyone who looks like his parents. "Excuse me does anybody know who his parents are and where we might find them?"
Just as Mysie said that somebody said sea dragon. Mysie stayed calm and collected, [b} "Can I ask why you think this child is a sea Dragon? [/b]

“Dont’cha worry, got ya back“ Tacen spoke back to the boy with a wink, “bein’ different is better than bein’ boring.” A warm smile for the kid, from a man dressed in a soaking wet oversized hat and performance clothing, the image probably spoke for itself. He whispered something positive in the kids ear for later to give him a task to focus his mind on, something to look out for.
”His parents are past due for return,” one of the men added, "he's staying with me". More of the townsfolk were coming down from their buildings now, cleaning up and beginning to repair things.
Sea Dragon man just heckled words back from afar like: “Evil spirits, unnatural fey, mark my words, bad omens.” All but the most fearful people were ignoring his superstitions at this point, certainly Tacen was, he was busy playing hide the coin behind the kids ear, and making silly faces while he did so.
The old sailor friend Kimboxan looked like he want to go over and punch the heckler, shouting “oi!”. Tacen stepped in front of his friend to settle him down. Taking his comical hat off and moving it around in his hands, “she’s right, Churasqa looks after its own, or who else is gonna.” Who else? Another divide shown even with the best of intentions.
Between them, they seemed to be slowly settling things down, that thorny issue of the parents was another story.
