The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

Wanting to get ahead of the King's arrival, Kaalim had decided this marriage to Imani should happen before as no expense was spared for his fifth wife. The more wives a man took usually meant bigger wedding ceremonies and this one was sizing up to be very impressive! The large man had been lightly drinking since that morning and by noon Kaalim had acquired himself a steady happy buzz, a feat achieved by drinking at least a barrel of their best meade.
Kaalim was wearing a loose long kilt of sorts, hemp woven boots that climbed his large calves, his body was drawn with white paints from his face down, and sitting over his shoulders was a heavy shoulder bracers made from the hide of the rhino he killed. Across his chest was the drawings of bear heads the top bear was Kaalim, below that in a golden paint were his first two wives (Deoshia and N’Yoshi) touching and protecting Kaalims current living wives, and they protect a red bear that was symbolizing his soon to be wife Imani .
Kaalim sat at the head of the feast table, a fresh cup of meade in hand as he waited for his soon to be bride to join him at the head of the table. Everyone had bee invited and it was a Gilead wide celebration that didn't just take place at Kaalims hut. Only those of importance joined him there; Coheedain and Nevermere-born a like. His wives sat with their children and Imani’s as they were now under the protection and guidance of Kaalim, he would treat them as his own. Today and tomorrow were for joy and Kaalim needed this happiness just for a single moment.
====== Please allow Imani to post next; followed by everyone in Coheed! Including Nevermere soldiers and Witches! This can count as a gathering thread. Please allow one to two posts before posting again, I will reply next in a few days
The day had finally come. Both her children were excited to see their mother remarry. They loved Kaalim, and his children, and had told her they thought her late husband would approve of Kaalim. She knew the men had gotten along well before his death.
Kaalim wouldn't have to wait long. Accompanied by his wives, Imani appeared on the scene. They would walk with her to the head of the table, and she would kiss each of them on the cheek before sitting down next to Kaalim. The wives would find their places at the table soon after, with their children. Imani's own children sat with them.
The beautiful young bride placed a hand on Kaalim's. She smiled at him, joy sparkling in her eyes. She was excited to be marrying this great man.
Yrsa attended the wedding with her father, mothers, and siblings. Two of her brothers would be on either side of her. It was a wedding, meant for celebrating and drinking. Yrsa wasn’t sure how long it would take for her brothers to make merry enough where they’d accidentally ditch her, but she would wait for the opportunity with anxiety and anticipation. It had been a while since there was a wedding this elaborate, and Yrsa hoped to celebrate some herself, and perhaps speak with some of the attendees that she was aquatinted with.
She would watch Imani walk to her husband, appearing to be very happy. She was glad for her. She’d attended some where the bride seemed…well not happy about it.

Kaalim was a prime example of what Nevermere liked when it came to Coheedsmen accepting the authority of Nevermere. The man had invited everyone to his wedding, whether they were Coheedspeople or Nevermerean soldiers. Of course he wouldn't miss the wedding. Aldrich liked Kaalim, and apart from that, he would also like to get to know Imani, because soon he would have to talk to her about the Parabolti and the crèche he had suggested.
Aldrich didn't come empty handed. He brought whiskey that he had shipped to him from Nevermere, and had purchased some robes, skirts and dresses that fit the Coheedswomen's fashion sense. Lastly he had brought one of his swords, as a gift to Kaalim. It was a sword he held close to his heart, but what he held closer to his heart was the understanding between Coheed and Nevermere.
The man wouldn't disturb the couple, and instead had the gifts delivered to Kaalim's home, with a note from him. That way the couple could enjoy the gifts when they had time.
Aldrich sat down at the table, near Yrsa and some other people.

Kaalim rose from his seat when Imani entered, flashing a very happy smile towards her, she was beautiful and she was his. Kaalim was a rich man with all of his wives, but not of coin or wares but of spirit. The pair sat together and Kaalim leaned in to whisper in her ear, "Your beauty tonight I hope makes every man and woman jealous here, my love...my wife...," he kissed her cheek, "You are glowing."
He returned to his facing position dark eyes scanning the crowd of those gathered for celebration, Kaalim was looking for the familiar eyes of their Witch Doctor Ramses Oziason with his blessing would Kaalim then seal their marriage in the traditional manner; bedding her. Not in front of everyone either, he'd sweep her off of her feet and take her to their home respectfully. These people would drink and eat and celebrate. Then the pair would return to celebrate...perhaps...
She was indeed glowing. She felt like a million bucks sitting next to Kaalim. Such a strong, beautiful and perfect man. She blushed at his kiss, already excited about going back to their place to seal the marriage. She leaned into him and whispered: “Let me give you a baby." She would return to her upright position and smile at him, longingly. A baby would take a few months of training away from her, but she wanted a kid with Kaalim.

Ramses was honored to be here in support of a man as influential as Kaalim. He may no longer be Chieftain but he had not lost much respect it seemed with Rian had taken up the role instead. To be honest, Ramses wasn't the biggest fan of either of them. Coheed was changing too much from their roots and Ramses knew the Gods were displeased. However, he had kept those kinds of opinions to himself, typically wise enough to know when and how to saw what he needed.
The couple looked so happy and this was a rather large and exciting affair given the number of wives that Kaalim had. Ramses stood with his arms outstretched. "Five wives! Not many reach such grandeur but no one is surprised that a warrior such as yourself has amassed such a fine collection. A beauty indeed. May the Gods bless you and bare you many children through her and that your virility remains as strong as ever!"
Kasper is young enough to fall under the werewolf curse, yet it is dormant. Should the curse be activated his wolf form will be that of a white shaggy fur color keeping his smallness even though he is still rather large for a werewolf. His eyes also retain their green color.

Kasper had come to the wedding celebration with his partner, Evanthe Curran, he felt since the docks would be complete by the end of the following week the pair deserved to cut loose. And that was exactly what Kasper was doing, getting drunk and dancing. He was dancing with a few Coheed women around the largest fire a jar of Coheed meade in one hand and their funny grass they smoked burning from a pipe one of the women held up for him. It helped numb some of Kaspers recent pain, made him forget all of those back home suffering Kats loss without him...it just helped period. He'd face those things when he got home, that was the plan.
He began to cough which paused his dancing, it made two of the women giggle, then one of them stepped up to kiss him...well...his eyes grew wide and wild but pleased..

Evanthe was standing to the side, watching her partner, Kasper Van Zant, dance around. She had a drink in her hand, not her first, nor her second. Coheedsmen really knew how to throw a wedding! The place was packed and active. If people weren’t drinking they were dancing, if not those things, they were eating from the bountiful table. It’d been a minute since she’d really been able to cut loose, and she wasn’t going to waste that day by staying sober.
She saw the woman kiss Kasper, and her eyebrows shot up into her hairline. Well that was forward. Not that she hadn’t been forward before, but that was far more forward than any Nevermerans were in public. She would watch, keeping an eye out for any distress or signs that she should step in and rescue him. He was hurting, she knew, and she didn’t want him to do something he’d regret later. On the other hand, a little making out never hurt anybody.
