The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

Archelaus had lost his honor. If not all of it, then a good deal.
He was no longer the witch doctor. A small scar on his leg was a testament to his loss. He kept it wrapped up, and concealed from the world outside. Not that it was necessary. There wasn't a Coheedsman in the land who wouldn't know what had happened. How he had been disgraced. Perhaps he could have recovered from that much, maybe... But shame, and a clouded mind had caused him to take another step further. He had gone drifting immediately afterwards. His two wives had been left to fend for themselves, as had their children. Only Sunny remained by his side. That was a step too far. Somewhere deep inside, Archelaus knew that much.
He wasn't entirely sure what was worse: the fact that he'd abandoned them to begin with, or that he still had no intention of going back.
It was Sunny who had dragged him to this event today. He wasn't even entirely sure just what it was. Something to do with Nevermere and the military?.. He found it difficult to find it within himself to take an interest in anything. His daughter could sense that much, but she tried. She did everything that she could to drag him out of his ever deepening lassitude. He humored her by agreeing to come along. The former witch doctor sat by himself, away from the crowds.
Certainly, the presence of Magda Ivanova certainly wouldn't register with him.
