The SONS of CYRIL
FAMILY VALUES
]Cyril has raised his sons to desire conquest in battle above all else. They train and they train and they train so that they will never bleed first, so that they never lose. This is the one strain that connects them all, and if any son varies from any other of his father's teachings but holds this sense of need for dominance in check, he will always be accepted into Cyril's arms. Cyril, a Coheedsman to his core, also promotes the quest to incur honor, which is accomplished through taking wives, having sons, and being strong. He has also taught all of his sons to despise Lorendale and its gifteds, and encourages them from the time they are young to thirst to destroy the kingdom.
HEADSHIP
Cyril is the head of those with the surname Cyrilson, though in his old age he has become rather quiet and his eldest, Kaalim Cyrilson , wears much of the responsibility of not only directing the nation and his tribe, but also of helping to keep his own sons and the sons of his father in line.
UPBRINGING
Cyrilsons spend day in and day out training to become warriors. It is natural that every man of Coheed wishes for his sons to become warriors, but Cyril more than most. In fact, his bent could be considered an obsession. Only with many sons at his side could he dream of bringing Lorendale to its knees, thus he trained his children like Spartans, and has reaped the harvest of his efforts.
Those raised by Xyentra (deterity/sound) experienced a quiet, resolved, sagely mother in this woman. She always offered correction, though gently, but didn't insist, allowing her sons and daughters alike to do as they pleased and reap the consequences of their choices. She was always there to help pick up the pieces, tend the wounds, and build up the pride of her fallen offspring. She has birthed 10 sons and 5 daughters, and has raised 3 sons of Cambrian women, making her the mother to 18 children.
Those raised by Shayetta (strength/scent) experienced a strong-willed, fiery, barely contained mother in this woman. Everything she did was charged with aggression, dominance, and a spite towards anything that didn't go according to her way. She is dismissive of her daughters and attentive to her sons, as quick to banter with them as she is to scold them. Her sons are her glory, and she boasts in the marketplace about their accomplishments. She birthed 7 sons and 5 daughters, and raised up 2 sons of Cambrian women, making her the mother to 14 children.
Mai (speed/sound) has only birthed daughters, though she now raises the youngest of Cyril's Cambrian-born sons. She has not been a valuable wife in the family. She is quiet and sweet to all the boys and the girls, quick to listen and do what is asked of her, even by children. She is most helpful to Xyentra, and the two are often seen together.
MATURITY
Per Coheed standards, the men meet the mark of maturity when they participate in First Blood. Cyril does not let them choose when they partake of the ceremony, but decides for them, and only when he is certain they have learned all that they need to in order to win. Typically, his sons are ready by 15, but some require additional honing.
MARRIAGE
Cyrilsons are expected to take their first wives soon after completing their First Blood ceremonies (and becoming warriors, of course). In fact, if a son does not choose a wife within 2 years of his ceremony, Cyril will pick one for him. Taking a wife and creating more sons is essential to harvesting honor for himself and his family.
ROLES
Cyril formerly circumcised all of his sons and the sons of his sons, but has since passed that baton to Kaalim Cyrilson . Cyril's first wife, Xyentra, as the head wife is mainly responsible for dinners, which all of Cyrilsons and their families enjoy together.
OCCUPATION
Cyril became the chief of Bantu Siri after the sudden death of his brother, the former chief. His own eldest son is now both the Chief of Bantu Siri and the Chieftain of all of Coheed. This trajectory has marked their family, and it will be expected that they all bring honor to the name of Cyril and accomplish great things in battles to come.
CITIZEN STATUS
Cyrilsons are widely known for being warriors. Of course, the First Blood ceremony determines everything, but Cyril, an accomplished warrior, personally pours himself into the training of all of his sons.
LAND & WEALTH
Cyril and his wives and sons and their families live on a nice plot of land. There is a large hut that is Cyril's. It rests in the middle of the land, and around it is a circumference in which the boys train. Beyond his hut, there are others erected in a semi-circle. They belong to his wives (their daughters and young sons sleep with them), and his eight oldest sons (to be shared with their wives and sons and daughters). Sons who have participated in First Blood but are not the oldest eight have smaller huts built in various places near to the other huts, or some stay in tents. Cyril requires his sons to build a hut before taking his first wife.

HISTORY
Cyril was born to Jagga Jadenson, a warrior of Bantu Siri with little to his name. He was a warrior, sure, but he had next to no feats in battle and was rumored to have been seen hiding more than once during exchanges with the gifteds of Lorendale. Jagga was an individual who had somehow drawn first blood during his ceremony but would have been better off as a worker. He was skilled in a smithy and spent more of his time making weapons than training to cut enemies down with them. He only took one wife, much to the shame of his children, and with her he bore seven sons and seven daughters.
Cyril wanted to grow up to be just like Jagga...until an older brother of his, Kalil, put a stop to it. He knew Cyril had potential to be strong but that he would be softened by their father, so he took Cyril from Jagga when the boy was seven and raised him like a son.
In Kalil's house things were different. His brother was a very good warrior, had four wives, and was always either training for battle, training his sons, or making more sons. At first Cyril didn't like it, but then he wasn't allowed to not like it. He was forced to conform. He still considers his brother's actions to be his saving grace. He would never have had the life he does without Kalil.
Cyril grew up on rocks and nails, becoming everything a Coheed warrior is expected to be. He participated in every battle he was allowed, always among the first to charge in and cut down the fighters, healers, and runners alike. He has never shown mercy, and rightly so because his enemies have killed his brothers in blood and arms. During one particular battle, Kalil was struck down before his very eyes by a warrior of Lorendale. It forever ignited a flame of hate against Lorendale.
Life was never about being fun for him; life was about being strong and capable and honorable and remembered. Life was serious. Taking Lorendale by storm is a serious task. This perspective has bled into the way Cyril treats his wives and raises his sons. The wives are a means to the end of more sons, and the sons are his legacy. He pours all the he is into them, raising them on rocks and nails just as he was, expecting more than any other warrior expects from his sons. He loves them, and is, at times, gentle with them, but only for the purpose of helping to remind them that life is hard and tough and the tougher and harder they are the more likely they are to live, to destroy, and to bring honor.
4.14.21. Cyril Jaggason as well as his two oldest wives and many of his sons died during the clash between Coheed and the Eldouirs in this thread.
