Reputation: Gianna is budding. What was true last week might have already changed, from her favorite color to her favorite person to her dreams and aspirations for her life. She is in an intense season of self-discovery, having come of age though is yet undecided about what that age will bring.

What is generally understood about the young woman is that she is confident, vain, passionate, and rebellious. Her goals are lofty, as is the price of her preferred fashion, and she is considerably discontent for a young woman who has everything she needs. Gianna is liked well enough by her peers, if intimidating to the boys her age and competitive with the girls. She takes friendship and loyalty very seriously as long as it suits her, and considers romance to be one of the greatest pinnacles in life.

Combat Experience: Gianna’s experience with combat is unmentionable. She has dallied her entire life, never formally, always either for fun or attention from boys.

MAGIC
Object Morphing

The ability to change her form into any object she has seen and/or used, whether in person or picture, even to the extent of functioning as that object (i.e. a wagon, candle, etc). She may only become a single object at a time, though she may possess different parts within the makeup of a single object (i.e. medieval machines such as a crossbow). The object she shifts into must be solid, and the object is only as detailed as she has observed. She can become objects smaller than her human form without limitations, but when becoming larger she is limited to becoming no larger than a small house. She is unable to shift into living things, such as other humans, animals, insects, plants, diseases, etc. Focus and attention is required for the act of shifting, but once her form is changed next to no effort is required to maintain it. This can render returning to her human form difficult at times. If the object she has become is damaged then she loses her form and becomes a girl once more.

While an object, she can still talk. Her consciousness is audibly projected.

She can partially morph, changing her finger into a key or her hand into a candle. When in object form she can move only as much as the object naturally allows, such as rolling as a ball or turning her wheels as a buggy. She may even tip her weight to cause imbalances.

When she returns to her human form redressing is required.

HISTORY

Tale:
Gianna was born apparently ordinary, though she was actually anything but. She was the second child to her parents after a son, and thus adored accordingly. Her birth name was Yvaine, as if her parents had known on instinct what her greatest vice would be.

At the young but established age of three it came to light that she was gifted, and that was the end of her fairytale. Her parents locked her in a room with a servant to tend to her, spreading the rumor that she had fallen deathly I’ll, and at a time that made sense they claimed her death and sent her away with the servant. They didn’t actually kill her, a kindness they congratulated themselves for in the years to follow.

The servant brought confused little Yvaine to Jasiel’s orphanage, claiming the child belonged to an unmarried servant who had passed. In the following months Gianna stuck close to Jasiel, and before long she was calling him papa, and so he took her as his daughter.

Though not the wealthy countess’ life she should have had, Yvaine, named Gianna by Jasiel, wanted for nothing. In fact, she had a far more present father than she would have otherwise. Unfortunately, she grew with no mother. There were maternal figures, to be sure, but the absence of a mother of her very own has been felt strongly by her for her entire life.

At only 17, Gianna is still determining who she is and who she wants to become. The political unrest in Lorendale has started to factor in more than she had ever imagined, and she has started to question her father’s quiet approach to the very loud conflict in their homeland.
