[ONE SHOT]
After meeting with his family, Keion locked himself away in his office in the estate and immediately went to work writing the correspondence to the extended Blackwood family. He wrote exactly what they had decided upon: Cyrus was needing extended time away for business in a different kingdom and had named Keion as his replacement for the time being. That they were simply writing to inform the family, rather than waste their time calling them all to the estate. If they had issues with the decision, they could reply with as much.
If they actually wrote back with any dissent, Keion simply turned those letters over to @evander and left his brother to, as he had said, bring those family members into the fold.
After the correspondence was completed, Keion spent time going through any paperwork Cyrus had left behind in the office that was now his. He dug up correspondence from the secret police still stationed in Lorendale. He winced as he remembered those they had lost in Nevermere. They would be mostly blind on that kingdom for now as he could not risk stationing anyone else there. So instead, he penned more letters to be handed off to those still in Lorendale. It was a simple message letting them know that for now they would report back to him and to keep their wits about them, especially in regards to the Rainecourts.
He made mental notes to at some point expand the secret police under his name so that they could station them within Cambria, Coheed, and Dresmond as well. They needed eyes everywhere. But that would all come in due time, as Keion slowly stepped into Cyrus's role. He felt his brother's absence like a dark void in his chest every day he stepped in the office and some days were harder than others, but he knew they had to keep moving forward. It was what Cyrus would have wanted.
And so it was that Keion became the Crown of the Blackwood family. He only hoped that one day they would find Cyrus and everything would feel right with the world again.
