The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Temperance nodded along, feeling good about the hopefulness she had toward her own children's futures. She wasn't so sure everything would change quite quickly enough for her daughter, but there was one thing she could be sure of. Thomas would never be the kind of Father to marry his daughter off to some man just because he had a lot of money. No matter how society might treat young women, like pawns used to enhance a families wealth or social ties, Thomas would treat their daughter with respect, and allow her to make her own choices. "Well, we let the men think they run it, don't we?" She grinned, "but we do all the real work."
She frowned, looking up at the sun in the sky. Even though it was behind the clouds, Temperance could tell roundabouts the time of the day, and she'd need to start heading back home soon to take care of the few patients that she'd pushed back to later in the day so she'd be able to come pick up Thomas's gift. "Valeria, it's been really lovely conversing with you today. I'm glad to have made a friend of you." Temperance said, pausing to look up at the taller woman. "I've got to be heading back home now, but as I said before, I live just on the outskirts, by the forest. You can't miss the greenhouse in the front yard. Please, stop by any time you need anything."
Looking down at the book still in Valeria's hands, Temperance motioned to it. "I hope your husband enjoys your gift. And I hope your talk with him about your pregnancy fears goes well. I have no doubt the two of you will come out on the other side of it feeling strong and confidence that when you do get pregnant, everything will go smoothly."

"Yeah if we don't do that they feel like they don't have a place if we don't act like we following their leads." She smiled but her and Tempy seem like they are lucky enough that they find two men who support them and treat them as equals and not as somebody below them.
She sign softly when Tempy said that she needed to go and she looked in the direction that she was heading. "I might just pop round for a catch up if that alright as well." She smiled she doesn't want to wait till she need anything to meet up with Tempy.
"I hope he likes his gift to I will talk to Keir tonight when he finished work for the day," She smiled softly trying to think of what to say. How to say it
"I would really like it if you did. You don't need a reason to stop by, any time is fine," she said with a smile, reaching out to gently squeeze Valeria's arm. "And when you do come by, you can tell me how everything went." She took a step away and then gave a little bow of her head. "I hope you enjoy the rest of your day, Valeria. Stay safe. See you soon!"
The day had started off pretty good, but making a new friend always made Temperance's days better. So she left with a smile, and hurried home to further work on Thomas's gift and to meet with her customers.
