The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Coheed is historically the most aggressive of all the kingdoms. Most battles are started by Coheed tribes, and all the wars on Terra Nova have been between Coheed and another kingdom. They are people of combat and bloodshed, seeking power and, ultimately, dominance in order to turn all the kingdoms into one empire governed by the Chieftan of Coheed.
Coheed's greatest enemy is Lorendale, and the two kingdoms have engaged one another more than any other two kingdoms. Coheed mostly keeps away from Arynn Frey because of the nature of its magic, but after Lorendale the kingdom most bullies Dresmond.
Where once Coheed was a land of tribes, it population robust, the combined efforts of a foolish Chieftain that sent all men to war and the subsequent slaughter of the Eldouirs has rendered Coheed a wisp of the great kingdom it once was. In fact, in Aestas 821 Chieftain Kaalim combined the remaining tribes into what is now known as Gilead, and made a deal with Nevermere to come under the other kingdom as a territory in exchange for protection from the Eldouirs, a deal he made in order to preserve what remained of his people. Additionally, within the same year, Kaalim changed some of the age old traditions of his people, allowing workers to take a wife and for women to be trained in combat. These changes have helped see to a surge in the population (though most are children), and have increased their overall combat readiness.
