The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Today was the door that for the past couple of days Zahra been looking forward for this moment ahead. She made sure that she had enough sleep for today, knowing that Regan won't be easy on her. She feels like the Huntsman will be tough on her. She will push her slightly beyond her limits. Making her stronger. There was parts of her that feels like they will parts that she will bemade that she want to quit or give up but she know she need to fight through that.
When she got there she noticed that she was the first one there, so she spent the time warming up, making sure that she stay warm as she need this as it was dusk, it was getting colder. She made sure that her sister had enough money for her to go home and be able to pick up food for their younger brother and sisters who wasn't old enough to be in the military yet.
When she noticed Regan she stood to attention and bowed her head slightly. "Ma'am"

Othello went to visit his wife, Regan went to the training yard. Both were getting their dose of physical activity for the evening, though she had a hunch Othello’s activities were very, very different from hers. She trundled in, feeling a little agitated and hoping that some practice would help get it out of her system.
Marching into the training yard, she gave Zahra a curt nod.
“Ready to get started?” Regan asked, straight to business.

"yes ma'am." short and single she watched Regan trying to sense if something was off. well apart from her being stronger then humily possible. which was awesome. however there was here to train not to talk. She doesn't seem to be a talker. Zahra is greatful for that.

Regan too appreciated Zarha’s brevity. Too many people were all talk and no action. Besides, Othello talked more than anyone she’d ever met, so the relative silence was refreshing. Regan relaxed a little—though it was only a very little—dropping the pack on her shoulder to the ground.
“You favor speed over power,” Regan said—a statement of fact, not a question, “Now that’s fine, but you have to use your strengths, not rely on them.” Regan shook out her hands, standing before Zarha.

Zahra was strong but Regan was right she prefer her agility as she know she is good at it. She know she is one of the fastest in her group and she know she can use it as an advantage on most of them. So even though a bit of her wanted to be bitchty and say that favours both. She know that won't help her and that Regan trained for years and knows these thing. Ontop of that she was her better.
So she was already before she side-hit. Her fist was tight maybe she was bitchy and wanted to train with somebody better then her, she doesn't know but her fist swung into a uppercut fashion into the Huntsman's stomach using as much fource as she can to carry it trough.

Regan moved out of the way, but only just. Just enough movement for Zarha to miss the blow and hit nothing but air. She waited for Zarha to hit again. The other soldier wouldn’t know it, but beyond her natural skill, Regan drew on the supernatural for an additional edge. It wasn’t fair, but it’s what it was.

When Regan moved out of the way, Zahra was slightly annoyed. she seemed a little bit faster than normal, but she was quicker on her feet so, in reality, Zahra doesn't think too much of it. Zahra just wants to hit this woman, she wants to find a way to hit this woman, hit the huntsman. but how? she knew this young witch's strengths and weaknesses. But what is this woman in front of hers? Zahra takes another swing at her. unsure what to do.

Again, Regan moved out of the way, using just a little movement she needed to in order to avoid the blow. There would be a lesson to all this—though learning it would no doubt be frustrating. Frustration was part of the process, however. Necessary for growth in body and mind.

for fuck sake how in the whole of Skia. She was trying all of her might not to get annoyed not being able to hit Regan. How can she trust in her stregth if the woman won't stand still. She also need her quickness what she know she is best at. However she tries a third time but this time she add a little extra to it. She never said how to hit her, she just said hit her. So Zarha went in for a uppercut to the stomach and tries to folliw through with a swing to the jaw using her legs to move forward to take her off balance.

Regan, again aided by her enhanced senses, moved just in the nick of time, enough to swing behind Zarha and put her in a hold. She held it only a moment before releasing her.
“Good,” Regan said—and she meant it. She had far more experience than Zarha, so defeat was hardly an indicator of failure. “Now…” She stood in front of Zarha.
“When you were fighting Stormcrest, you were faster than him—no doubt. But your problem is you move your body more than you need to. You tired out. Restraint is just as important as skill; use only as much force as you need to win. Anything else is a waste.”

Zarha placed her hand on Regands armed than when she let her go Zarha breathed softly. She stood up straight as she listened to Regan. She could run for a long time possibly longer than others, she got good stamina. but she right. "How do I find the right balance?" She asked quick and simple. She doesn't want to waste what she is good at.

“Practice.” So far, Zarha was proving to be a focused student. Regan was finding that she was glad she’d taken a chance on her, despite her loss in the training yard. Regan could recognize hunger, and she saw it in the new recruit.
Regan raised her hands again, waiting until Zarha was ready before taking a swing.

Zarha smiled at the word practice she was down for practice any day of the week. She nodded when Regan put her heads up ready for her to take another swing and she was more than happy to train more. use it but not waste her speed. stamina the longer she could go with it. Learn her balance with the both of them. Zahra tries to forcus on finding what the balance is and takes a swing at regan using more power then her speed. possible more power then what was needed not quiet finding the centre yet.

Regan countered, and the spar was on. The huntsman would stop at intervals, offering Zarha corrections before launching back in again. The pace was relentless, but the ache in her muscles when they’d finished felt good. When the training yard was in darkness, dimly lit by flickering torchlight, Regan finally called for a stop. The witch was smiling—an expression not often seen.

Zahra smiled as they finished. She wasn't as tired as she possible thought she possible will feel it in the morning though which she is looking forward to. "Thank you, Ma'am" Zarha had a rare smile. She hardly smiled. "that felt really good. I really need a good sparing partner." She laughed softly. "I can see why your the Kings huntsman."
