The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Electricity. Bex was soon shoved out of the way and thanks to the assistance she was kept from being hit by the magical bolt. Her heart raced a little quicker than before but otherwise she didn't react much. "Good attempt but I'd advise against anything electric. It's even more unpredictable than the other elements and hard to keep going quite in the direction you meant it to go." At least the girl had come up with something on her own, it was the most valuable skill a witch could possess.

As they stood Zarha's eyes looked at the spot that the bolt went towards and see that mark that was left there. A soft smile was there that even though it didn't go to plan, that she managed to do something that wasn't fire. Also she managed to think of something on her own without guidence. Like she know she was only eighteen and she will possible stay under the command of other people for the rest of her military career she was happy that she thought of something on her own.
She looks towards Bex as she spook, "Yeah, should of thought more on what element I was using. I just hope that with whats coming I don't slip up like that. I need to be better at magic, I have to." There was a slight darkness in her voice, of wanting to feel the darkness of the magic fill her up. She knows there have to be more then what she can do.
"If you stay motivated then I have no doubt you'll continue to improve as you give the time and effort to do so. If it's important to you then you will not let the trivial matters of your life distract you from your goal." Bex didn't know if Zarha really had what it took to become of the great witches of Nevermere. Only time would tell. But most tended to let themselves get lost in gossip, drama, and relationships to truly give the focus that was necessary. "You've done well enough this morning. Keep practicing and finding new ways of using your magic." She stepped over to her bag and scribbled down the names of a few books before handing it off to Zarha. "Best of luck. You'll need it," she stated, though there was the smallest hint of a smile on her lips, before she started to walk away to get ready for the rest of the days responsibilities.

There was a small smile. "You don't have to worry about life getting in the way, my work is basically my life." It is true it very unlikely that she will have anything outside of her work get in her way. Like she hardly have any friends, so there literally nobody to gossip with even if she wanted to. You need friendship there to even think about going more then that, so that is out of the question.
She watched as the Lieutenant write down the names of the books, she was in a way looking forward of picking up these books on her way home and started practicing them. "Thank you Lieutenant, I will put these books to great use." She looked down at the names of the books there were a few curse books few incantations. A smile on her face as she read each one, look of pure excitement and mischief across her lips.
Once they all done she went about her day doing her patrols and thinking about the books.
