The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

Elena's eyes were full of light and an ache for the home she missed. "It would be helpful to find out where they currently stand," she said to him. "Go. Please. And bring back every morsel of news you can." She wanted all the petty gossip too but didn't actually expected Drystan to bring back anything like that. "I wish I could go with you." Drystan's gift made it easy for him to not be seen and to get in nearly anywhere undetected. She didn't have that kind of luxury.
"Of course." Drystan gave her his equivalent of a warm smile. It was a conscious relaxing of the shoulders, less flatness to his eyes and less tension in his face.
As she mentioned her desire to travel with, his fingers twitched where they rested on her legs, like he was going to tap them on her skin but stopped himself because she was a person and not his desk. If things went according to plan, and it was certainly a long con plan, then perhaps... "You are creative and wily enough to find a way, I am certain."

If there was one quick way to get to Elena it was to praise her. She smiled at him as he did just that. Of course she was creative and wily enough. That was not in question. She was also a Queen and while that came with certain freedoms it also came with responsibilities. Or at least...it traditionally did. But they were not exactly 'traditional', were they?
Her smile grew a bit more mischievous. She shrugged off the topic and asked as much as she could about Nevermere before the hour finally got late enough that they parted ways with promises of more information as soon as he could about Lorendale.
