The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

[ Made for Regan Lassiter and Akagi Llewellyn, open to any other that might stumble in but thread will not wait for others ]
With Regan in arms and a royal guard entourage both behind and before him, Cassian burst into the hall from a side exit, escaping the chaos of the throne room. He knew that the magic of his ring would bring the show to a close, but it didn't do anything to help the dead and bleeding members of his military. It didn't do anything to help the underlying fury he was feeling. Nor did it help the fear, that damned thing that sat deep in the cavity of his chest, flaring each time his eyes bounced down to the bleeding woman in his arms.
He could have rushed her to the infirmary, but Regan wasn't just another military personnel. Unfair as it might be, the king had a different healing resource he intended to utilize to ensure she ran the next full moon at his side.
Once in the corridor, he immediately moved to the closest door.
"Help me hold her." He said to the closest guard, who did just that. The king fumbled into his pocket, his bloodied and shaking and clumsy, and procured his port key. Into the lock it went, and with a turn it opened into the Llewellyn palace in Arynn Frey. He only ever opened a portal into a single place; the one he'd established with Kimora. He reclaimed sole hold of Regan and then moved through.
Upon stepping into the kingdom of enchanters, Cassian sent one of his royal guards to find his brother-in-law. He would not assume that they would help him, but he was certain that if anyone would, it would be the crowned-prince.
So, until Akagi's appearance, Cassian waited. In waiting, he was forced to face the state of things. His dark eyes slowly traveled down to Regan's form in his arms. Though he was naturally inclined to stay quiet, the sight of her compelled him to whisper,

Regan was fading fast. Her rage—at Alys, the Dresmondi, the witch who’d turned Octavius—was a quickly dwindling fire, spluttering without the necessary fuel to keep it alive. Before, the blood had felt like a blanket coating her with its warmth. She could feel it still, soaking into the jacket she was still trying to hold to her chest. Only now, she was starting to feel cold.
The low whine in her chest pulsated with every breath. She couldn’t see Cassian well, but she could smell him. And that brought her comfort, even when she could taste metallic blood on her tongue. The cut to her face must be worse than she thought. Maybe all of it was.
Regan protested weakly when she felt the shift in weight. Frightened Cassian was about to leave her, she released the jacket she'd been hugging to her chest and snatched at his jacket with her hand.
“Cassian—”
But then she was back in his arms again. Everything went still.
When Cassian spoke to her, Regan tilted her head to look at him, blinking as if that would do anything to clear her vision. She asked, as if it were a simple, matter-of-fact question with an equally simple answer:
“How bad is it?”

Akagi had been home for a bit, but he hadn't really made it public knowledge just for those within the palace. He had been withdrawn as he came up with a plan to approach his Mother about finally stepping down. It was a wild chance that Akagi had been returning from the kitchen with a plate of cookies and milk when he, himself, came across the Nevermere guard (he had spent enough time in the Kingdom to know). The man filled Akagi in that the King was here and it was urgent, the man seemed hesitant to give details so with his curiosity piqued Akagi with his nums followed the guard.
Immediately upon his arrival his eyes fell between the two figures, his brother in law and the real King Cassian of Nevermere and for a split... split...second his heart jumped at the figure in his arms his mind saying it was Ophelia, which carried him across the room practically dropping the plate and glass of milk but sat it on the floor.
"Cassian... what's....your highness," then his heart settled, it wasn't his wife, but still the face was familiar nonetheless and her injury was so evident..., "Regan? wha-," he paused pulling his own key to his workshop from his pocket, "Time is of the the essence! Brother if you will follow me," still unable to read his brother in law to this day Akagi only assumed Regan was important to his brother in law, "Please."
Akagi used his portal key on the same door Cassian's party came from only it wouldn't lead to Nevermere, but directly into his workshop where he would usher them through.
The Prince stepped through last and closed the door, they had bypassed his security entirely by going directly in. Akagi crossed the room and from a wooden cabinet he produced what was called a 'Healing Tent', "Help me quickly !" he told the guard and met the Prince in the middle of the small sparring ground. Together they erected the tent, Akagi snapping the last piece that actually turned the tents enchantment. He rushed over to a small cot dragging it across the room and into the tent, "Your highness please bring her in here and place her on the bed..."

Cassian parted his lips to respond to Regan, but found he had nothing to say to her. Her face was torn. It was split open and bleeding on her, on him, and it was terrifying. It was gruesome. It was a kind of carnage the relatively sheltered king, having only been in battle once, had never had to witness this close. This personal.
His mouth snapped shut. He averted his gaze and said nothing. She could speak again. She could beg. He didn't know what to say to her, so he said nothing. When Akagi appeared he considered it his salvation in more way that one.
Without a word he did as he was told, leaving a trail of Regan's blood in his wake. Two guards followed, one that helped Akagi erect the tent and the other, a witch, who stayed close. She didn't have potions that Regan needed, but she knew a thing or two about first aid. Where the woman had abandoned pressure to her wound, the witch now applied it.
Cassian would surge forward, eager to set Regan on the provided cot. Simply stepping under the tent himself inspired him with a sense of health. He wasn't sick, perhaps still healing from his illness, and at once the magic of the piece tickled over his body.

The silence from Cassian, however brief, was deafening. While Cassian had nothing to say, Regan had too much. But none of the thoughts could surface as they stalled and tried to arrange themselves in a jumbling mess on her tongue. Regan’s breath started to quicken; her fingers tightened where she’d balled up his jacket in her fist as if that alone would stop her from slipping away. Desperate was the only word for how she whispered to him.
“Look at me...” It was a last, plaintive petition before Akagi’s entrance. It wasn’t until then she fully appreciated just where she was. Regan made a soft, tortured noise of pain as Cassian started off again. She felt a pressure on her chest, which she knew was necessary but made her wince all the same.
When Cassian set her down, she protested weakly, like a needy child unwilling to leave the safety of his arms. After a moment’s resistance, she let go and sank into the cot. The cold that had settled over her body started to lessen with the warm healing of the tent. Warren's jacket was still held to her chest, her wounds started to sting like she was being pricked by a thousand needles. Regan was healing, but it didn’t mean it wouldn’t hurt.
She squirmed a little in discomfort, raising a shaking hand to wipe the blood from her eye.

As soon as Cassian entered the tent with Regan Akagi quickly broke away making his way over to his actual work station, he jerked several drawers open until he came across pain buttons small little tokens that when sewn or held eased pain. That wasn't all, he figured his brother in law was in some kind of shock with all the blood, Akagi couldn't blame him it was unsettling so he grabbed two calming stones too. A stain removing wand for the blood and e counted out two of the pain buttons unsure if Cassian needed one then returned to the tent kneeling on the opposite side of the cot, "Miss Regan can you hold one of these little buttons here for me? The tent will do a great deal of the healing but you'll need these to help with pain, design flaw honestly," he would slip both one pain button and a calming stone if she offered her hand if not Akagi would place them in a hand anyways, "I have one of each for you to your majesty, one for pain and the other is a calming stone, we are in a healing tent....it will do the job but depending on her level of injury will depend on how long she'll have to stay. I have this wand, it will clean you up brother and Miss Regan too."

Cassian didn’t. Regan had urged him to look at her, and he hadn’t. He was the king. Only he gave the orders. And sometimes not looking was easier.
With the Hunstman in her cot, the healing process beginning, Cassian turned to Akagi where he focused his attention.
“Thank you.” He said it quietly but with intensity. His eyes traveled down to what the other man offered. The stone was tempting, but Cassian raised a hand.
“I must return with haste. There are things to be settled in my castle. Rest assured, it is entirely internal and will be handled before any in Nevermere sleep.” He hoped his words were assuring to Akagi. Neveremere wasn’t under attack. The kingdom wasn’t falling apart. But he needed to get back and take care of matters with his Captain Commander.

Now separated from Cassian, Regan grew agitated. The potion, after all, was still in her body. The full moon, not yet forgotten. But her squirming was curtailed by the creeping black of exhaustion. The hand which had been reaching for her bleeding eye rested down back at her side. It was easier to let it drip, to pool in her socket as she shut her lid against it. Every breath brought pain, her expanding chest irritating the slashing wounds hidden beneath the jacket.
“Cassian…” The word left her lips as barely more than a whisper before Akagi slipped the calming stone and button into her hand. The button was a contraption she hadn’t the focus to understand or master, but the stone went to work without her needing to use it. Regan stilled, though every time she breathed there was a soft whine that rattled in her chest.
She slipped into a cold place of semi-consciousness, lulled by the stone in her hand and the toll blood loss had taken on her body.

"Of course your Highness, I will maintain watch over Miss Lassiter for, I can send hourly updates if you wish to leave a Witch behind?" Akagi looked at his brother in law with the upmost reverence and empathy, "You will prevail that I am sure of perhaps though I can quickly clean you up?"
Akagi would offer the use of the wand in his hand, and if Cassian needed nothing further the Prince would attend Regan and Cassian could return home to attend his matters.

Cassian nodded, quite honestly a little numb from all that was assaulting his mind. He'd stand still and let Akagi fix him up, and then he would make an unceremonious exit, leaving a witch to attend Regan.
