Akagi was in the royal library pulling some last minute grimoire's for his final push toward a upcoming project, which was why he had sent a palace slave to bring his fellow collaborator to him. Miss Calanthe Beckett daughter of his long time mentor Cyrus Blackwood, his sudden disappearance left a void Akagi felt that Calanthe and himself shared that void. Sure, Keion Blackwood had stepped up to fill that void for Akagi but who was there for Calanthe? Akagi had shared similar interests with the young Beckett, but saving his marriage had intervened so he hadn't been able to fulfill his promise of working with Calanthe.
That was changing, in fact a lot was going to change it seemed. Only this was a moment of focus and clarity because Akagi was getting ready to dive into some complex enchanting with a fellow equally bright mind. It was always the little things!
