[If you're planning on letting your character disobey the rules and roam the halls of the palace, you can let them encounter Aldrich here, otherwise this is a oneshot (and if you make a separate thread for your characters to disobey their orders, know that Aldrich is near (:< )]
The soldiers that lived in the barracks were sent to their bunks, where they had to stay until the morning. Party-goers that didn't reside within the palace were sent home, but should report back as well in the morning. The palace was silent once more. He didn't know if the investigation was still going in the throne room, but he wouldn't be able to go and check anyway. His orders were to patrol the halls to make sure everyone stayed in their bed. More chaos was the absolute last thing they needed right now. For some reason, the halls seemed more eery than usual. The fear for the werewolf still lingered in the air. Not even a good scrub would rinse the halls from that anytime soon. Especially @alys turning into a werewolf had shocked many people. The king's witch was a werewolf too? What more did they not know about this kingdom and who ran it?
Aldrich's boots made an echoing sound as he walked through the hallways, his hands behind his back. The next couple of days would be hectic too. Not only for the military, but also for him. He'd have to deal with Rhedara Shannon once again. But @torsten would have to thank the girl. Now that she had cursed him a second time, he had realised that Torsten's behaviour hadn't been all that bad. If the young man didn't talk to him like that a second time, he would have no further issues with the kid. As soon as he could, he would call the both of them back to his office to deliver them the news. But for that to happen, the whole ordeal at the palace would have to be cleared out. Someone would have to come forward and take responsibility for turning Octavius Wulfbrand. Someone needed to take responsibility for the dead soldier and the injured ones at the infirmary.
He passed by a door leading to the open plaza in front of the palace and opened it. He leaned against the doorframe and lit a cigarette, staring at the moon while listening for footsteps in the halls. Would someone have the balls so actually disobey orders tonight?
