Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Reputation: Hiram's reputation only precedes him with those on the military scene or those involved in the gifted world. Stories of his horrific gift are whispered about, especially how he used the blood from his fallen comrades to drown his enemies in a particularly unsuccessful battle. He is known as a fearsome man who curls the blood (literally) and kills at the drop of a hat.

To those who bypass his initial reputation as a gory blood-shedder, they find a humor-loving, anger-prone, aggressive man who is passionate and likes alcohol, smoking, women, and brawling. He is fiercely protective of family, believes in the superiority of those with gifts, and isn't apparently scared of anything.

Combat Experience: Hiram has been trained to be a warrior among the trainers of the highly elite (combat-wise) Eldouir family. They begin training all children at the age of six and do not let up until their gift manifests--and only if it is no longer appropriate to train them to be warriors. Hiram's gift lent itself to warfare, so they continued on with him. He was shown special attention due to him being the first grandchild, the first generation born into collars. He trained will all large, two-handed weapons, though he excels in axes and maces. Hiram has extensive battle experience, as he started fighting and killing at the young age of sixteen.

MAGIC
Hemokinesis: the ability to manipulate blood. The blood Hiram manipulates must already be present. He can manipulate it when it is still inside of the body or when it is outside of the body. He can use the manipulated blood as a weapon to attack (think of the damage high pressure water can do), but a sword formed from blood cannot withstand a sword made of metal. He can clot blood to stop the bleeding of wounds, and inflict his enemies with blood clots to create numbness, swelling, and pain. Think of the possibilities of a water elementalist with water...and then apply that to him except with blood. Some limitations and weaknesses include distance between him and the blood he is manipulating; if he is drained or hungry then his control is lacking; overextending himself can lead to passing out.

LEVEL 10 UPDATE: Hiram has developed the ability to teleport between any two large enough concentrations of blood. Typically pools of blood are used as the enter and exit points, but he can also employ the use of living people. He melts into the blood, becoming blood himself in the seconds before he disappears, and when he enters he rises up as a figure of blood, materializing seconds after arriving.

LEVEL 20 UPDATE: Hiram killed his brother Sammael and transferred the blood from Sam's body into his own, thus transferring the blood healing gift his brother possessed. Its description is as follows: Hiram’s blood is now an agent of healing. It can be shed onto a wound, or consumed by the wounded individual, and it will swiftly act to heal damage suffered. His blood can heal physical damage of any kind--cuts, stabs, broken bones, disease, or poison in one's system. It is limited in that it cannot cause body parts to regenerate. The amount of deep healing done directly depends on the amount of Hiram's blood that is consumed. The blood, being in Hiram's body, offers Hiram constant healing and renewal, rendering his physical state healthier than it ever was, and resulting in him not aging, as aging is deteriorating, and the blood perfects the physical form.

LEVEL 40 UPDATE: Over the years of testing and stretching all that his manipulation of blood entails, Hiram has discovered that when he consumes the blood of those with magic running through their veins he is able to temporarily replicate their magic. Being capable of doing the magic they do does not guarantee a masterful manipulation of it, as all magic requires practice to master. How long he maintains the ability to use their magic is determined by numerous factors: how much he drank, its quality, his state of hunger, how new or old the blood is, which part of the body the blood came from, and so on.

HISTORY
Family: Eldouirs
Tale:
Hiram is the firstborn grandson of Malaki Eldouir. His father, Joel, was Malaki and Sera's firstborn, and his mother, Zelda, was the son of Malaki's sister. His birth was monumental for Malaki and extensively celebrated, especially because Zelda died only hours after the baby took his first cry. Hiram is not blamed for her death despite it being a direct result of childbirth; he is celebrated, and upon discovering his gift he became a source of praise. Through Zelda's blood loss and death came the life of a child who could wield the liquid of life. Joel took another wife shortly after and sired many more Eldouirs.

From a young age Hiram was trained to be a fighter. The Eldouirs train their children to be competent in all areas: physical combat, court rhetoric, math, Literature and history, and so on. They are all well-trained and well-learned. The discovery of their gift directs how they continue to be prepared for life as a collared gifted. Hiram excellent in combat training and struggled with academics. When he discovered his ability to manipulate blood at the age of eleven--a sibling of his was mortally wounded and his ability to clot their blood saved their life--he was directed towards the life of a soldier and trained accordingly.

From eleven to sixteen Hiram was trained, put through tests, trained, put through tests, trained...and so on and so forth. He has trained for every situation imaginable, as both a fighter and a medic, and put through every kind of physical and psychological test imagined. When the Eldouirs were training him up it was with the intent of making him a military legend.

Hiram's first handler was Lorenzo Sheen. After only a year in his service Sheen had his Sister Ring passed to another Handler. Hiram proved to be a very effective weapon, but his personality was also too effective for many. Not only was he extremely competent in killing when given permission to use his gift, but he was also above average with just his physical prowess, and no gift-muting collar could turn that off.

Hiram has now been with his current Handler for two years. His name is Marquis Rand Al'Thor, and he is the fifteenth person to possess Hiram's Sister Ring. Depending on his Handler, Hiram has either been a soldier or a royal guard. These days he is a soldier whose Handler spends most of his time around the palace, causing his day-to-day dealings to look very much like a Royal Guard's.
