The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

for @aodhan
Sina was one who want to try and relax they still a lot going on and a lot on her mind. She wanted to be confident, calm and collected she want to be able to walk the streets of lorendale and not having to worry about anti-gifted attacking her because she a gifted. Like out of all the gift that out there her gift is possible the lease dangerous in some way. However, it depends on who she using it on. There always that risk, her gift in the wrong hands is a risky business. Dresden right in so many ways she have to be careful, but how can she be herself, enhance her skills but be safe.
She is reserved but she trying to be confident. Today she was taking a stroll through the market to see if she could pick up some food for Vern to cook. She explained that she was willing to go out of her way for him plus it give her a chance to stretch her legs. She went towards the veg stand and there was a good selection of veg. Her hands went towards the carrots to go and pick some up.
A day of monotonous labor washed over Aodhan like a numbing fog, leaving him feeling sapped and lifeless. The incessant loop of his thoughts had ground to a halt, moving to a dissonant tune that grated on his nerves. He felt himself being drawn towards the market, under the flimsy excuse of a task he had already forgotten, craving the buzz of activity to replenish his depleted spirit.
Aodhan darted from stall to stall, his eyes alight with curiosity as he perused the goods on offer. He chatted amicably with shopkeepers, enjoying the warmth of each interaction as it soothed his wilted spirit. Eventually, he found himself at the vegetable stand, eagerly asking the seller about the origins of their wares. His insatiable curiosity drove him to question after question, the words tumbling from his lips faster than he could form them.
"Ah, now these are are something I do know about, they can be distilled to a dye," Aodhan exclaimed, his gaze sweeping across the colourful array of carrots laid out before him. "And the colours they can produce are really quite amazing," he continued, turning his attention to the woman browsing beside him. "Although, if it's dyeing you're looking for, these beetroots and red cabbages make for a particularly potent dye. It does, however, take a sizeable quantity and a patience I don't have to achieve a good result," he added with a smile curling into his cheeks. "It doesn't mean I don't find it interesting though." As he picked up the vegetables for emphasis, he attempted a rather clumsy juggle that ended in a near miss. Regaining a semblance of composure, Aodhan flashed the trader a sheepish grin and a chuckle.

As she went to grabbed the carrots she heard somebody talking fast. Sina looked in the direction to a tall guy standing nearby. She smiled as she listened to what the man says. Seemingly interested in what he got to say. When he started juggling them there was a small laugh when he finished Sina give him a small clap. "That was good. You seemed to know some stuff about dying fabric?" Her eyes where soft as she brought the six carrots and about four potatoes. That should be enough for a meal tonight.
"my name is Sina." She was trying to sound confidence in her voice as she introduce herself to the man.
A flush of embarrassment crept up Aodhan's cheeks at the sound of Sina's applause. He fumbled for a coin, not out of a craving for fruit, but as a gesture of recompense for the vendor's wasted time. "Good?" he echoed, his tone laced with incredulity. "Your kindness is appreciated, but I know my work leaves much to be desired."
As he bit into the apple, its crisp flesh yielding to his teeth, Aodhan introduced himself to Sina with a muffled "I'm Aodhan." After a pause to swallow, he continued, "I work with cloth, in a tailor's shop. Manipulating fabric is my forte, while dyeing is too much like alchemy for my feeble mind. Nevertheless, I've picked up bits and pieces from my time spent around it."
A playful glint flickered in his eye as he quipped, "I trust you're not attempting to extract a dye from potatoes?"

Soft smiled "There no need to sell yourself sort Aodhan." Her eyes are soft. "I am sure your mind is more then you leading on." Her eyes looked around. "How long have you been working as a Tailor? I am always interested but it." She never really been good with sewing herself so she always thought it was interesting the skill work.
She looked at the potatoes and laughed softly. "No, I am buying these for dinner."
Aodhan chewed another mouthful of apple, letting the silence between them grow thick. He was growing restless, eager to leave the vendor's stall and its withering gaze behind. With a graceless swipe at his mouth using the crimson sleeve of his shirt, he punctuated his thought, "Ah, I promise you, it's not modesty. I've never had much of a head for numbers or words."
He turned abruptly and took a step away from the stall, not bothering to check if she had followed him. "It's always evaded me," he continued, his tone resigned. "But I have enough in my head to keep me fed and clothed. For that, at least, I am grateful."
"How long have I been sewing?" He wrinkled his nose in mock consideration as he parroted her question. "Well, I believe I was born with a needle in one hand and thread in the other. My family has always worked in tailoring, and it's likely I was taught to sew before I was taught to walk."
He shook his head, his mind already wandering back to his shop and the unfinished garments waiting for him. "I can hardly say I would recommend it unless you enjoy slow, methodical work." With a lazy shrug, he rolled his shoulders, trying to shake off the sense of boredom that had settled over him. "What is it that you do?" he asked, finally spinning back to face her, his eyes searching for some spark of interest or excitement.

There was laugh as she followed the man in front of her. Her bodygaurd from afar gave her a look and she just shrugged her shoulders with a playful smile as she listened to Aodhan. When he stopped there was a smile on her face and pour interest in her eyes. He seems interesting a man who can't sit still for too long, it was fascinated and kept her on her toes a bit.
When he asked about her she tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear as she laughed but more of a gentle soul sort of way. "I work in a library round the corner from here. I also run a school. still in it early days but it beautiful." She was being slightly modest.
Aodhan lofted a brow at the mention of a library. He had always thought of them as dusty, quiet places for the scholars and scribes of the world. But Ikisina seemed to be pleased by the prospect of working there. "So, a librarian and a schoolteacher, both very admirable professions." Ask he spoke, he unconsciously began tapping his fingers against his thigh, the rhythmic sound competing with his words.
"Thankfully for you, I am too old to be in a classroom. Not that I ever was in any classrooms," he admitted, his eyes shifting back to the patchwork of people busying about the market, "I would have been too disruptive." His attention wandered around the market square, taking in the bustling crowds and the vibrant colours of the various stalls. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, feeling restless despite the lively atmosphere. Aodhan knitted his dark brows into a thick line, creating a deep crevice on his forehead as his thoughts drifted to his own education. His mother had tried her best, but even he could admit he was a difficult child, bristling with energy and unable to sit still. The feeling that he was missing something lingered uncomfortably.
His eyes became glassy for a moment, lost in thought before he refocused on Ikisina. "But I'm curious, what is it that you teach? Perhaps you can change my mind about the joys of learning." He finished with a small smirk, hoping to lighten the mood after his previous admission.

Sina smiled as she noticed he was moving his fingers. He a mover, "Do you want to walk and talk?" She offered. Sometimes some people do find it hard to stand still for a period of time. She would start walking along side him.
There was a soft smile on her face. "You are never too old to learn something new. Like I didn't know that about beatroot so I learnt something today. Plus each person learn differently. So people prefer to sit down and learn by reading, some people learn by being active, by doing." it was the teachers job to adept to the student. Not the other way round.
"I teach reading, writing, a little bit of history, I try and teach what the students might be interested in. What sort of things are you interested in. You interested in dyes right? well fruit and vegs are not the only things people have used to dye fabrics with. Some people have used insects. However, I don't know how to feel having dead grasshopper on my dress." She laugh softly.
