MUNE NORTHSON
GENERAL
Name: Mune Northson
Age: Twenty-one
Birth Season: Winter
Occupation: Chief of Hausten
Citizen Status: Chief
PHYSICAL
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 150 lbs
Body Description: Mune is on the lighter side of things in terms of build and was, once, considered to be something of a runt. As a grown man, he sports a lean and athletic body with numerous small scars.
PERSONAL
Alignment: Chaotic neutral
Reputation: Mune unnerves some people through his relative silence, he's a man of few words, generally only speaking when necessary and to those closest to him. He seems a bit distant, almost as if his mind is elsewhere. He's curious. Always watching and listening to the world around him.
He's considered to be a capable leader and a surprisingly fierce warrior. His greatest critics would point out his apparent lack of planning or direction as his greatest flaw, as he seems content to simply coast through life at a steady pace. Is it indecisiveness or caution? Nobody is entirely sure. There are also those who see him as being soft. His relationship with his mother and sisters having left him somewhat more sympathetic towards women than other members of Coheed would be and his relative peacefulness (at least by Coheed's standards) have made him weak in the eyes of his detractors.
He is however ferociously loyal to his brothers and their sisters and few would ever question whether he has his tribe's best interests at heart.
Combat Experience: Mune was trained by the other warriors of his tribe in fighting from his earliest years. His slight physique and apparent weakness as a child however made it seem unlikely that he would ever rise to be a warrior. As such, in preparation, much of his training was more focused around the assumption that he would be a worker. He prefers lighter weapons such as pole arms or smaller swords and would likely struggle with wielding a heavier object such as an axe or mace. For this reason, he doesn't wear much armor as it would slow him down and limit his movement. Whilst he's never without his sword, a weapon as light as it is sharp, his true skill lies with the bow. His experience learning to hunt as well as his natural dexterity makes him a tremendous archer and he prefers keeping a distance, riding around on his horse whilst loosing his arrows.
MAGIC
As with all members of Coheed, Mune is both physically and sensibly superior to other human beings. His skill manifests itself through his natural dexterity and sense of smell.

Tale:
North Ragarson was a great warrior for Coheed. His bloody deeds were told around campfires and he reputedly knew no fear. A man of great honor, he was the head of the Hausten tribe and had a great many wives.
One of those wives, the newest and youngest at the time was Luna, a woman whose family was originally from Lorendale lands which had been seized by Coheed a generation ago. She was quiet and docile which suited her husband just fine.
It was in the middle of a bitterly cold winter when Mune came into the world early. He was tiny and puny and in the eyes of many would never amount to anything. For North, there was shame in having brought such a weakling into the world. Thankfully, with another eight sons, all stronger and older, the chief wasn't particularly bothered. It wasn't as if the runt would amount to much. He would become a worker and be forgotten about, if he even survived that long.
Mune proved to be stubborn however and despite the odds held onto life. Still, he remained small, something of a runt and someone whom his father sought to distance himself from. Growing up was harsh. Seen as easy pickings and the weak link, he was often bullied by his numerous older half-brothers and cousins. Making matters worse was his quietness, he seldom ever spoke and was assumed by some to be a mute up until the age of eight when enough people had heard him say a few words so as to no longer doubt his ability to use words. Perhaps he was merely simple-minded, they reasoned.
To these hardships, Mune had two comforts: the first was that he was very close to his mother and older half-sisters who always looked-out for him, relieved to have a seemingly calmer and more gentle member of the family. The second came in the form of an old warrior of the tribe. For reasons known only to himself, the man took the boy under his wing. He trained him in the art of combat, to use his apparent weakness as a strength and to rely on speed and accuracy as opposed to brute strength. Moreover, he made good of the boy's skill with a bow, encouraging him to practice as much as possible, including on horseback.
The time came for his First Blood, Mune had grown somewhat. He remained on the smaller side of things however and the tribe struggled to find an opponent of roughly his size and weight. It was assumed that this would be a formality and be in a matter of minutes. To be fair, it was over quickly. To the general astonishment of all of those present, the seemingly simple-minded runt was able to cut his foe within the opening minute of the challenge, using the techniques which had been taught to him by his mentor.
Suddenly, the young man was looking less like a runt in his father's eyes and more like one of his sons. Despite his apparent skill allowing him to rise to the rank of warrior, Mune still remained quiet. His success however did allow his mother to regain some favor in her husband's eyes and he soon found himself with a younger sister.
When Mune was 17, a warrior in his tribe died from an illness they couldn't identify. The sickness spread, taking with it their great chief and a great many other tribesmen. It was especially devastating to the older generation. Then, as quickly as the disease had struck, it disappeared, leaving the tribe weakened and without a leader.
With no named heir at the time of his death, it was decided that his remaining older warrior sons would be allowed to fight for the title. Against all odds, it was Mune who emerged victorious. Young and inexperienced, he was quick to gather his family together as well as the few remaining older tribesmen in order to regain some form of stability and unity. To this day, the tribe remains greatly weakened.
As chief, Mune leads a somewhat more peaceful existence than much of Coheed. He plans to allow his family and tribe to recover from the epidemic. He has adapted their fighting technique to more closely resemble that of raiders, adopting a quick but deadly hit-and-run approach and avoiding getting bogged down in combat and risking lives needlessly.
