Parabolti
Over the year 821, many changes were brought to the kingdom of Coheed by its Chieftain at the time, Kaalim. One of those changes was allowing women to become warriors. The few women who were brave enough to be among the first to participate in the First Blood ceremony and win the right to be a warrior of Coheed were dubbed the Parabolti. These women have been trained under Nevermere and Willa Wren to be the most elite of the women warriors.
The Characters
The Parabolti are the best of the women warriors, but they are, to date, still no match for the men warriors. While the men have been allowed to train since they could hold a weapon to become warriors, most of the women were raised to care for their husband’s home and children, therefore wielding weapons and fighting is not as second nature to them. With their creation being sometime in the year 821, they could have, at most, around six or seven years of training under their belts.
However, most of the older women are still mothers and wives. They still reside within the constraints of thousands of years of history. They are still instilled with the ideals that they must care for their home and children alone, and many struggle with the balance of training versus domestic duties. The men certainly have made no move to equal the playing ground for them. This could, perhaps, apply differently to a young woman who was before adulthood when women were allowed to become warriors.
Some of the women still struggle with simply meeting the mens’ eyes and speaking to them, while the promise of being more than a mother or wife has ignited a fire within the veins of others, making them more defiant.
The Dynamic
The leader of the Parabolti is @catrin
@miriel is slated to become Catrin’s second, though has yet to be officially named as such.
The rest of the Parabolti vary in personality, what weapons they use, and their level of confidence towards the men of Coheed, but they are all among the first who participated in the First Blood or who have since stood out from the more recent waves of women from the First Blood.
