The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

@berengar
There was a lot on her head at the moment the assessment coming up, Abbott and Warren both want her to less forcus on training as much as she does. But the thing is how can she when A: there this bloody assessment and she knows for a fact that she can't lose this job. She needs this job more then anything else. She cannot lose this job. If she lost this job she won't have anything outside it. She can barley read and write, so she needs to keep a hold of this job tightly.
However she need to find Ber. She doesn't want to talk to him but she know she has to. So she started looking around for him. "Stormcrest!" She said she wasn't in much of a talkative mood. "We've got task to do." She wasn't giving much detail but she started to walk away. Knowing that Stormcrest never talked much anyway. Like she never knew what the fuck she did to him when she tried to ask him he get fucking defensive. Like WTF. It bloody annoying. Like he went on how she meant to trust people yet how can she trust him if he bloody doesn't tell her anything.
At the sound of his name, Ber looked up from where he was comparing the wear and tear on two wooden training swords to find Sliva approaching. A glance back down had him returning both to their proper locations on the rack he’d been tasked with inventorying and tidying up before he turned to face the witch with a sigh. Crossing his arms, he stood there as she told him that they apparently had a task to do and did not follow when she began to leave, clearly expecting him to trail after her like she was Woodwick. Unfortunately for her, she was not, and as far as he knew, he had orders from a different officer to follow.
Namely finishing up this rack and then moving on to the next one.
“Okay,” He said, unmoved. The demotion to staff duty meant that his life had been a never-ending series of tasks since the ball. Whatever she had come to announce was nothing special. “What’s the task?”

Zarha stopped when she realize that Stormcrest wasn't following and she take a deep breath. She wasn't in the mood of him not trusting her and him acting like he knows best. She tries to keep calm but there is annoyance in her face. "I was asked to pick a soldier I trust the most to go and investigate a situation. You was the first one I thought off. They say it more then one person job so I can't go it by myself." She starting to think maybe why does she trust him cause clearly it doesn't matter to him.
Right. She was told to pick any soldier with whom she would go investigate some situation, and she expected him to just follow along like a lost dog? As far as the military and chain of command was concerned, Sliva was like him: at the bottom. They were equals. Because she had no authority over him, not only did he not have to listen to her, but the orders he’d received from an actual officer superseded her requests.
“Well, as you can see, Sliva,” He said, half turning away to gesture to the rack beside him. “I’m already busy. Go find someone who isn’t doing anything to help you with your assignment.”
Investigating situations was something soldiers did as a part of their normal duties. Ones like him, who had been remanded to staff duty, played supporting roles and completed the menial chores that allowed the rest of the military to function to its full capacity. It was no longer his job to deal with the problems that plagued Skia.

Breath Zarha, just breathe. "If I wanted someone, I would of got someone Berngar, but I want you." Calling somebody by their first name is very rare for her. "I get that I am the fucking last person you want to hang around with and that you have other orders. But I fucking need you." Zarha hated getting annoyed but she have enough of trying to please this manchild in front of her. He thinks he is better than everyone else and that, because he was hurt, needs to be given special treatment.
Ber shrugged. “Not as much as these racks need me,” He said, crossing his arms again. “Sorry, Sliva.” It wasn’t about personal feelings, though she wasn’t wrong: he did not want to spend time with her. “You can tell me to go with you all you want, but until you become an officer, what you ask me to do is always going to be second to what they order me to do.” His tone was matter of fact as he turned away. “Like I said, go find someone who is actually free to help you.”
He was already on thin ice. Ber was not about to march off into the city with Sliva only to have the staff duty officer walk into the room five minutes later to find him absent and shirking his own duties to help the witch with hers.

Not as much as the racks need him. "Fine! but if you ever need me, don't bother to come looking for me." Her eyes were filled with annoyance, but also sadness and anger. She trusted him. Soldiers meant to work as a team as she started walking away. "Stop acting like you are the only one who hurt, you are not special Stormcrest. You are just like me, just a commoner, and that's what we ever going to be, commoners." Zarha stormed off and look for somebody else.
