The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Drystan had returned from Lorendale for a handful of days at most before he picked up the package he'd brought back upon his return to the Elderkeep. He'd been a bit remiss with his visit to Nevermere in that he hadn't brought anything back for Myla when he had for Elena so this was a bit of an apology as well as bringing her something that he knew for a fact that she did not have here in Dresmond.
That evening, he slipped through the hallways until he was in front of her door and quietly rapped his knuckles on her door. Drystan wasn't sneaking around, per se, but since Hiram's demotion of her some of the other members of the family had been more waspish in the aftermath. He'd rather not subject her to more uncouth attention if he could help it.
Myla, while no longer 'Queen', had rather liked her freedom. While she liked the pretty things that had reminded her of Lorendale and all of the finery there... she found the rest of it rather tiring. Adeline was screwing it up well enough on her own, so she'd let the little frozen one think she actually held some power. Myla never forgot who Hiram came back to, time and time again. There was a reason.
But the gentle knock to her door told her not to expect Hiram on the other side. No, he'd just walk in. So it left one of very few on her list of who it could be. Opening the door and finding Drystan, well, that was quite the treat. A small smile lifted her lips as she stepped aside wordlessly, welcoming him into her room. Something that he might have noticed that she tried to mimic her room back at the Eldouir estate in Lorendale... Long gone... long overgrown after...
She shut down the thought as the door clicked shut behind them. "And to what do I owe this pleasure?"
While Elena was more likely to engage in idle chat, and he didn't mind it to be clear, hee appreciated the way that Myla was often straight to the point instead of prowling around the topic. So it was with a small smile of his own that he pulled his arm out from behind him with a carefully wrapped package and offered it to her.
"I made a little visit recently and this caught my eye for you."
Myla was one of very few on his list of preferred people and he would be a fool to miss how very 'Lorendale' her room was. The robes, while not an exact match to ones she'd had before, were certainly similar and in the colors that he knew she preferred.
