The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

for @elletta
Why is she trying so hard when to make friends when clearly nobody will ever care about her. She was another soldier in a flood of soldier that will be coming and going. Zarha was currently got a tray of food in the mess hall as she looked around figuring where to sit. There was a couple of spot on tables with people but every time she walked over to them another soldier rush over and took that sit.
She sighs slowly as she looked at the far back table that was empty and walked towards it. Looking at the food then sinks as she pushed the food away, not really in the eating mood.
Elletta was busy as all hell these last couple days since the party and the subsequent aftermath so it wasn't like she was avoiding Zarha after she'd sent her home while taking Othello back to his. She was just legitimately busy between soldier duties and medic studies. However, seeing the younger witch sitting alone, she decided to take the opportunity right in front of her.
Satchel and tray were set down at the table and then Elletta took the seat across from Zarha.

Zarha was sitting there looking at her food. She know she should ear but the words, Abbott, Othello and Elletta wasa ringing through her mind "Go home." Even Warren wanted her to leave the party. She failed at being social. So when Elletta sat in front of her she couldn't help but looked a bit confused but this interaction when she could of sat any where. She seems like the sort of person that people like talking to and having round. Well Zarha just the sort of person they have if they need combat.
"Umm hey." She didn't know what else to say and it seems strang to her.
Now that the heat of the moment had passed and whatever weird mood had taken over her the other night was now gone. Instead, she felt a little bad for how she spoke to the younger woman and how she spoke, but not necessarily sorry for telling her to leave. It hadn't been a party afterwards, just cleaning up and making sure the house was in decent shape.

When Elletta apologise for snapping at her the other night, she wasn't sure what to say. "there's no need to apologize, I get it." In fair she doesn't get it but it hard. People expected more from her but it hard to see for them is that she just Zarha. Nothing, nada, she not a leader, however the words the kept hurting the most was the 'go home.'

Zarha looked at her for a moment. Unsure of what to say, she never really had anyone apologize to her so this is strange for her. "Honestly, as you said tensions were high, you didn't mean to snap." She gives Elletta a weak smile. It was Zarha's way of trying to say you are forgiven.
"How's Othello?" She asked. She wanted to speak to him but in a way she was still upset with him.
Red tinged Elletta's cheeks at the question and she immediately looked down at her food and took a bite. Maybe if she pretended hard enough, the heat would go down.

When she noticed Elletta's cheeks, she was momentarily confused and then it clicked. "Wait, do you... Othello?" She never thought of Othello as somebody in that way, but maybe because he is way old enough to be her dad. So seeing him in a romantic fashion felt strange, well to see anybody think of him in that way was an odd concept to her.

From experience with her oldest younger sister the response that Elletta gave made her smile as she lean back. Even though that Elletta say nope and to not go there, she kept it in the back of her head for a later time. At the rate people going they even getting feeling for people or courting, getting married or having kids. Well here Zarha just getting on with life. However she was still young. so there for no need to rush. However even as she looked around the mess hall she can't really see any of the soldiers there that she can honestly say are fit or make her heart flutter. It just they are soldiers. Which made her smile fade a bit.
There was a bit of quiet for a moment as she got her cough under control and rinsed her throat again to soothe it.
"Thanks." Her voice was a little quiet as she willed her cheeks back to their normal color. Then she realized that she didn't really know much about the witch across from her. "So, how have you been?"
In her honest opinion she thought it was sweet. Even though her only date didn't end as well as Zahra has hoped she blamed it on the drink because, A: she normally don't drink so it get in her system quicker and B: She not ready to date maybe she never be ready. Never settle down and she happy with that. Love clearly clouds her judgement and it not needed.
"I've been okay. Busy with training as normal. You?"
Elletta shrugged. "Between soldier things and medic things, been super busy but its a good kind of busy."
As they ate and talked, Elletta would get to know the younger witch before eventually she would finish her meal. Picking up the things that she'd brought with her, she'd bid her goodbyes as she left to continue on with her studies.
