The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

A soft smile on her face when he looked downwards, it really wasn't her place to ask. Like Warren already knows her feeling for him is that she saw him as a father figure. So if Regan makes him happy then that is all that matters. "The Nevermere Military is a powerhouse. I know you getting a few grey hairs Captain but you still take on more then half of the soldiers in our camp." Zarha knows she was possibly over-exaggerating it but she wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him.
"She a good mentor and I know she can be harsh on her self I guess use nevermere soldiers have to learn some self-love. I guess one way is learning to accept it from friends" She smiled.
When he explained about there was a part of her that feeling when he paused what he was going to say. A weak smile trying to encourage him. "Yeah when we all come back."
Warren gave Zarha a flat look, his eyes rolling upward as if he would be able to see his own hair without the aid of a mirror. "I regret to inform you that you are incorrect, Ms. Sliva. I have no gray hairs to speak of." He rubbed his chin, knowing full well that one of the reasons he shaved regularly was because of the gray in his beard. "But I appreciate your vote of confidence nonetheless."
He wasn't going to speak of self-love or learning to to accept love from others. He had a hard enough time with those things on his own, so he couldn't advise others on it. But he figured Sliva was young enough that she had time to figure it all out.
"You'll do well on assignment, don't worry, Ms. Sliva," he said, standing up from the table and running his hands over his jacket. "If there's anything you feel you may need help with until we all depart, you know you can come to me. In the mean time, the remainder of the week is paid for at this Inn, so take your time moving your family back."

Zarha laughed. "Oh come on, not even a small smile that was a good one sir." She crossed her arms. She knows she shouldn't be this relaxed around her Captain but she. She was happy that out of everyone in the military, she can learn who she is in front of him.
Standing up she reached her hand out to him to shake his head. "Thank you very sir." She quickly looked around the room and once she knows that nobody watching she went in for a hug. "come home, Sir." Was all she says then a couple of seconds silence before she pulled away. He was the closest thing she has to a good father figure. So she doesn't know what she would do if he went.
She laughed, and he gave in, though he hid his own smile by dipping his chin downward. There were times when he thought of his age, and times when it seemed to be of no consequence. Being with Regan made him feel younger, but even in those moments, he often thought of how much older than her she was. Still, the joke was a fun, easy one to make all the same. Much like Sliva would, he had grown up in the military and the military was what was turning him white.
He took her hand when she offered it, simply nodding and thinking that would be the end of it. Then she stepped in and wrapped her arms around him. At first he froze, surprised by her affection, but she had told him once that he was like a father-figure to her, and he didn't have the heart of reject her simply because it wasn't proper. Instead, he moved his arms around her briefly and patted her on the back. "I'm not so easy to get rid of, Ms. Sliva," he assured her. Then he let her go and stepped back, giving her a nod.
"We still have time before everyone leaves for assignment. Make good use of it." With that, he turned and exited the inn, heading back for the castle.

When she felt his arms around her she relaxes a bit in them. Rhedara was right about his warmth of him. But not in a romantic way, but one a daughter would hope a father would. A soft smile on her face when he assured her. "Good." Zarha just like any soldier knows that going on assignments, there going to be risk and that death might be one of them. She got to the point where she can easily hide emotions in front of others. However, Warren was the first and only person who knows about her brother passing, he was the first person she told about her parents. If he goes, she doesn't have that trust in anybody else so she be back to square one.
Nodded slightly. "Yes sir, you know me I will be in that training filled from dusk to dawn till we ship out." She watched as warren walked away before she headed upstairs and explaining to the family that they are allowed to go home.
