The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

for @elletta
Koralia treated all the staff the same here, and she wasn't going to treat Elletta any different because she was also a soldier. How else was the young girl going to learn anything if she was given special treatment. Of course for assessments and a few things she was expect given that she would given enough notice ahead of time so she can get the staff to cover her.
Today, they was a injured kid who thought it would be fun to jump in front of a young witch as she was casting a incantation and accidentally hit him in the lag. The boy was wiggling in pain like mad and crying. It going to taste the young girls patients and skills as a medic. of course on the field she would be handling adults but she can't really drag a active war zone here to test the young soldier so this is a good tast.
So she looked for Elletta. "Miss Halder, I am going to watch you treat this soldier who just came in. I want you to explain to me what you are doing and why?" That the basic she going to say as she headed towards the bad and even before they got their they can hear the boy screaming and crying for his mummy.
Elletta hadn't expected that the head healer would give her the time of day over the other trainees, nor that she would come pull her specifically to oversee her treating a patient. So far, she'd assisted several of the healers, usually talking through the treatments or fetching the necessary items such as potions or poultices or bandages. And she'd been observed helping with something very minor a handful of times.
So helping with something of this level was certainly a bit on the nerve-inducing side but she stuffed that down to focus on the young soldier on the bed. Well, boy-soldier with the way he was crying. Well, since the head healer wanted to know how she would treat him and why that method, she would fall back onto what she had learned so far. Before they even approached the bed, she would begin with her thought process.
"Firstly, I would figure out what type of injury it was in order to figure out the best way to handle it. If it was magical, I would find out what kind? Since mixing potions is definitely not good. Or if it's physical, find out if it is skin deep or if it is more serious."
