The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
The infirmary was often forgotten, but was also a very important part of the military. The soldiers that were training to be able to aid and help their fellow soldiers on the battlefield served a very important purpose. Technically their life depended on them, if they contracted an illness or an injury that required medical attention in order to survive. Elletta had been one of those soldiers, but he had heard whispers about her getting involved with a soldier in Coheed. He wondered how Othello felt about that, but he wasn't exactly on speaking terms with the Gifted man at that moment in time because Othello had been imprisoned. The conversation between Hadrian and Othello still rang in his head.
The Lieutenant made his way over to the infirmary and opened the doors. The last time he was here, he had visited @berengar . It seemed way longer ago than just half a year, but at the same time, it didn't seem that long ago. Aldrich wanted to speak with Koralia and see how she was doing and feeling. They knew each other vaguely. He was a bit older than her, but they had definitely trained together before. Her aspirations and ambitions had led her to the infirmary, while his had led him to become a lieutenant.
Eventually he found her. "Barkirtis", he said, nodding at her to greet her. "Do you have a moment?"
We won't call it quits. We'll call it the start.

It wasn't hard to remember the events that resulted from the ball. To explain to loved ones, family members what is wrong with their son, daughter, Brother, sister husband and wife. That night was pure choas. Of course she wanted answers, who the fuck doesn't want answer. It really boiled Koralia up that one of their own out people life in danger. That witch basically was the result why that young soldier got killed. Lots herself, spent all the night making sure that everybody who was in her care, had the best care.
Today she was just finishing up her rounds when she heard a voice. More of course knew of Abbott, seeing him a round, the only time she interact with him is if he comes in checking on one of his soldiers or if he has a injury of his self. Giving him a once over, he seems in shape.
"Lieutenant Abbott, I have a moment, how m at I help you?"

Koralina was a fierce woman with a resting bitch face. He couldn't remember a time she had smiled at him, but oddly enough, he liked that about her. She was confident and strong and not to be messed with. She trained the healers with vigor and in a way, she reminded him of himself.
"Could we talk somewhere more privately? I wanted to ask you about your students and the overall condition of the soldiers. With Captain Woodwick gone, I've been assigned some of his tasks, and I'd like to make a rapport of the infirmary. Just to see where we stand, in case of an emergency."

One thing Kora always went by was dedication to work and seeing that in her students and other healers, was one thing she enjoyed even though she doesn't show it. It takes a lot.to get a smile out of her.
"Of course Lieutenant, I just informed one of the healers where to find me, then we can make our way to my office." Even though he the Lieutenant , she couldn't leave without people knowing where she is just in case an emergency happened they will always know where she is.
After a couple of moment Koralia returned and guests with her hand. "This way Lieutenant." Her face stayed serious forces on her work. Some of her thoughts where about what the best way to treat her patients .
The office wasn't that far from where they was standing as she opened the door and let him go in first. He will notice that the are files of current patients on some shelfs. Several options of healing, books of medical herbs and remedies and parchment and ink nearly on her desk. Just like the infirmary, her office was in order. "Please sit down."

He nodded in response. It was good to see she would always inform another healer if she was away for a moment. She was the most important healer, after all, and while she was on the job is was absolutely necessary that the other healers knew where she was. He wondered how often they had to call her out of bed at night for an emergency.
He looked around the infirmary without moving while she was away. He was thankful that he had never had to spend a long time here. It wasn't the worst wing of the palace, but who liked spending their time forced to stay in bed?
Koralia returned and Aldrich followed behind her. He had seen the offices in the infirmary before but Kora's was definitely cozier. Even her office was completely covered in medical things, such as books and potions. "Thank you", he said, before sitting. "Let me start by asking how you are doing. Our paths don't cross very often."

As soon as Aldrich say down, Lots say down in the chair opposite him. Thinking about how she feels, her face showing no signs of how she felt, as she has the mind set of not letting emotion and work intertwine with one another. "I am doing well thanks, hope your new promotion is treating you well?" She did hear about the promotion but because they both busy never had time to congratulate him before.
sometimes formalities are a must amongst nobility. Her mother taught her how to small talk and all that.

He had been lieutenant since the events that occurred at the ball, so it had been half a year already. However, recently he had taken over some of Woodwick tasks. "It sure has", he responded. He only then realised that he hadn't seen Koralia since the ball, and that the belated congratulations were because of that. "Thank you." He smiled very briefly before clearing his throat.
"I will try to keep it brief. I know you're a busy woman." He put a sheet of parchment down on his side of the desk. "Do you perhaps have a quill and ink for me?"
If she had one for him, he would dip it in ink and look at her. "Like I said, I'd like to write down a rapport on the infirmary. Anything you think is worth mentioning is welcome. But for starters, how would you say the training of your students is going? Any complaints about specific soldiers?"
He knew sometimes the schedules of the soldiers that were being taught the ways of a healer interfered with the mandatory trainings. Elletta had been late to one of them because she had been studying. These things weren't the worst thing to happen, but he'd still like to hear if Koralia had opinions and things to say.

Koralia just nodded when Aldrich thanked her for congratulated him. "Of course Lieutenant Abbott." Opening up her draw full of Quills and ink, as she always made sure she was stocked up as she placed a navy blue quill and had of black ink on his side of the table.
"From my observation of my students some of them need some more training before I feel like I can trust them without supervision as some of them need to realise that we going to deal with more then a little graze on the knees."
Koralia still trying to talk through the schedule. "No complaint about any student theme but the one thing is needing to work through a schedule that works for the students healers that work in the healer. As there been a few who I feel are over working with the new 6 days a week. A few time I have seen them looking tried. So maybe need to find a way to find a time table so they not over working cause last thing either is need is one of my students accidentally give somebody the wrong treatment because they just came into a night from a day shift."
It was a lot to say but Lora want the best for her wing, best for her patients and best for.the students under her training. She wasn't going to expect anything less than that.

The quill made its way across the parchment, clear and easily readable letters appearing on it as Aldrich continued to write. He had a good handwriting, especially for a man. What he understood was that some student were capable enough already, but some still needed help and others needed to realise what exactly they were working with and doing.
Aldrich looked up from the parchment. "If any of them are too unserious about their additional task of being a healer, please dismiss them or have them come see me. Healers are important to the military, but if some of the students prove to me incapable of handling the task, I'd rather have them train full time again. We also need all the soldiers we can get."
He returned to writing as Koralia continued to talk. "I understand. I've noticed it as well. I will talk to Captain Commander Hadrian Usher to see if there's something we can do. I don't want to give you any hope as of yet, but perhaps the healers' training schedule could be cut back to five days, so they have either a full day of work in the infirmary, or an extra rest day." Perhaps they would even have to discuss recruiting people that had no, or very little, combat training. Having a few healers in a tent on the battlefield that wouldn't participate in the fight seemed like a good idea to Aldrich.
He put the quill back in the bottle of ink for the time being. "Have there been any injuries that the officers should be aware of? The last grave injury I remember is Stormcrest, but he seems to have recovered well."

Koralia agrees with what Abbott have said, they need all the soldiers they can get their hands on. "Thank you Lieutenant." Was all she can say on the matter at that matter as at the moment she still have a few tricks up her sleeves before she will send them to Abbott.
When he mentioned that he will tap to the commander about the situation, apart of her was thankful that someone agreed with the situation. "I understand that this will need to be discussed and I am willing to work alongside you and the commander to find that best way to keep the soldiers in the best possible health, well still doing their duties."
thinking a bit about any other injuries that need to be brought up. "Well the Champion came to me the other day with a rash under his collar, aside from that allotment nothing out of the ordinary for me to report in form of injuries. Is there anything that I might be aware of. Any new training routines?"
Post by Aldrich Abbott on Sept 18, 2023 2:17:28 GMT -5
He nodded in response to Koralia. She was smart, and knew that the soldiers still needed their combat training in addition to their healing training.
"No, no not necessarily a new training routine, but you know that since the Eldouir attack on Arynn Frey, shifts have gotten longer, so I'm afraid you might have some more trouble on your hands with soldiers being late to the infirmary. Hopefully it won't cut into their time too much." He rubbed the stubble on his chin.
