The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

[For @kezia]
Most of the Dresmondi didn't venture particularly far into Arynn Frey. A camp had been set for them closer to the border and they were tasked with helping to build the wall but it was pretty rare that they really explored too much. Many felt that since they were given this location for their wagons away from the cities that maybe they were more 'tolerated' than 'welcomed with open arms'. Weylin wasn't one of those people. His curiosity had got the better of him pretty early on and he and Beth often ventured into the various cities whenever they saw the chance.
Weylin found the Arynnites to be fascinating people. They lived to be so old and accomplished so much in their lives. They were rooted into the same place for their entire lives, most moving to different homes maybe once or twice in their entire lives. Weylin couldn't help but feel like he'd start to get antsy being stuck in one place for so long but look at all they had created in that time. Every city was beautiful and impressive and Weylin often walked around with his mouth dropped open in awe until Beth reminded him of his manners.
Today, however, he was at the camp with the others. They'd spent much of the day working on the wall. Weylin couldn't contribute all that much, Beth didn't have the kind of magic that was exactly useful in such a thing but they did their best finding ways to be useful. Now he sat on a log on the outskirts of fire though it wasn't dark yet. There was laughter and music and dancing as the dresmondi enjoyed a relaxing evening after a day of hard work. Weylin was smiling but not participating. Beth was currently bounding around the fire, the orange glow making her coat look even more vibrant than it already was.
