The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Our dearest and lovely admin welcomed her new baby boy, Jet, on Sept 7th! We're so happy for her and her family! Congratulations Mama!! Your boys are all so lucky to have such an incredible mom to love them! God bless!
It was strange to be in another land not for military reason. A part of her... no a lot of her is missing @keir and their precious baby girl Ora. However, she has to keep reminding herself that she is doing this for Ora. Having to create opportunities for her. Like who know what she wants to be when she finished mandatory training, but at least there be plantey of doors open for her when that chance finally arrive. But Val doesn't want to think that far ahead, to her Ora is still the precious little baby girl in her arms.
That is what carring her through as she walked the halls towards the Great hall in the palace. It indeed getting used to the layout of the place as she had to ask a couple of people the direction once or twice. When she got towards the Great hall she informed the guards who she was as they introduced her in and as she was let in she gave a deep curtsy towards the Queen with a soft smile. "Good morning, your Majesty."

Ophelia hadn’t yet become accustomed to the rhythm of her new position. There were times when she felt sure of herself, and others when she felt ever so homesick. But Ophelia was a Rainecourt, and if Julian had taught his children anything, it was to endure suffering. To find a way.
She stood now in the great hall of the palace. Her eyes traveled up the curved marble ribs of the atrium with glass windows at the top to let the sun through. The sun filtered in, making the white marble shine. It was beautiful; a beauty that would never be seen in her homeland (and that thought made her feel at least a little better).
A familiar voice drew her from her thoughts. Valeria Delaney. She had to admit, she was surprised, but pleased, to know the young woman was to follow her to Arynn Frey. To leave one’s children was a difficult thing, but Ophelia was glad she had managed it. It was a relief to have a little bit of home following her to the shores of Arynn Frey.
“Lady Delaney,” Ophelia greeted her with a warm smile, “How perfectly lovely to see you again. I do hope you’ve settled in?” Valeria had been set up with a private apartment close enough to the palace that she would be able to come to Ophelia’s side at a moment’s notice.

Valeria did spend some time adriming the apparent she was set up which for her she was internally grateful for. It has all the culture that she thoughts of Arynn Frey, a nice little balcony to look over the city, so in summer she can take in the sun, which is for her a rare treat, this would possibly do her skin a lot of good. However, at night her bed feels empty knowing that Keir isn't next to her. That her baby girl isn't in the room next door to her.
There was a warm smile on Valeria face seeing the smile on the Queen face. Having that one familiar face for Valeria is helping her a bit, cause even though she the Queen, she reminds her of her home and it made her happy. "It is lovely to see you too your majesty. I am settling in lovely, thank you."

Ophelia felt a weight — or at least, a fraction of that she was carrying — had been lifted. “I’m every so glad,” She turned back to the great hall, scanning its columns as she had been before.

Val confidently scanned the room with a watchful eye, always on the lookout for anything that could threaten the safety of the Queen, a duty that she takes seriously. In addition to her regular chores, Val assumes the responsibility of ensuring that Ophelia is well-protected. She examined the glass windows, wondering if they had any added protection like a barrier. Val scanned the white marble floor and the majestic columns that graced the room with a confident gaze, ever-vigilant in her duty to safeguard the Queen's well-being.

Ophelia smiled. While Nevermere would always be her home, Arynn Frey had a kind of beauty that Nevermere couldn’t touch. It was sleek, astonishing in its craftsmanship, and by comparison made her home kingdom seem roughly hewn and somewhat crude. It was moments like this she was grateful to be here in a distant land.
“This is to be a new era for Arynn Frey. For Nevermere as well,” Ophelia said, turning to her companion, “I’d like to usher it in with something special. A tea ceremony for the ladies of our two kingdoms. Perhaps Lorendale as well.”

Listening to the Queen's idea of having a tea party, it would be great to have the people together in one room and show that they can be unity. However, a part of her is worried with the recent attacks on Arynn Frey she was unsure and she want to put in place some things to make sure that the ladies of two nations possibly three can be safe.
"I think that is a brilliant idea, your Majesty. It will give a chance to show the strength of the two nations coming together as one. I think this room will be great area to host such an event." smiling softly at Ophelia.

Ophelia was pleased. This was the sort of environment where she shined brightest. Her eyes scanned the room, envisioning what it might look like. This was an opportunity to show the finery of Arynn Frey, to demonstrate Nevermere’s power as having a presence here as well. For despite her presence Arynn Frey, Ophelia was still a Nevermerean by birth.
“We should take care to curate a guest list,” Ophelia said, “One that will provide lively conversation without unnecessary conflict.” She smirked, looking at Valeria playfully, “I’ve found that problems are best solved over a fine cup of tea.”

The way the Queen smirked at her, it felt nice to see her so confident and feel so relaxed. She want the Queen to feel like she can trust her enough to feel comfortable around her. As at the end of the day her job is to serve her, to do what best and come to make sure she is happy, to be her friend in some way.
"It is true that all tasks are made easier with great company and tea, Your Majesty." Val smiled, her eyes was joyful as she is looking forward to helping the queen organise the tea party. She went to the door and looked for staff. "Her majesty would like some tea to be brought up please." She informed the staff who went to get the tea ready.

Ophelia giggled. She hadn’t meant tea now, of course, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t take any. The queen shook her head affectionately and offered her arm to Valeria so that they might walk about the room together as they waited for the tea, like they’d been childhood friends.
“Who is it we should invite? Nevermere’s court has not been home to me for some time—I wonder what ladies have risen to prominence there?” It was a question for Valeria, Nevermean that she was.

When Ophelia laughed Valeria couldn't help but laugh softly. Walking over to her when the Queen offered her arm she gave her a warm smile as they linked arms. two friends talking about hosting a party, her eyes lit up with joy. When Ophelia asked her about who they should invite and who has been raising in the courts. She had to think about who rising in the courts.
"From aside from the Delaney family there is the Chaudhari family been a name in the courts. The Prowze family is a name but I believe that Norah is currently in Cambria at the moment. They also the Bashar family." They are loads of nobles that women that are in the military still so it be hard to invite all the female nobles.

Ophelia was well pleased. The Chaudhari family was not as unknown to her, though mostly by reputation. The Bashar family was more familiar, though also in name only, and she was rather surprised—though not unpleasantly—to hear it. “The Bashar,” Ophelia said excitedly, “Oh, I should like to meet them. I haven’t yet had the pleasure. And the Chaudhari, what a mysterious lot they are.”

"They both sounds interesting family, I haven't yet had the honour to talk to them one to one, even though @veda is a paired soilder so I saw her around the training yard." She explained, plus with her being worked on the ships most of the time she was often out at sea, so she was often away, for a period at a time, so she haven't had much time to get used to them too much. She was close to Kat and she was so happy when she had the chance to work along side her.
"When do you want to throw the tea party?" She asked.

The Chaudhari. An honor. Ophelia giggled at that, pulling Valeria a touch closer. “Between you and me,” the now queen said with girlish excitement, “They are a scandalous bunch. Some say that they…” Ophelia’s cheeks turned pink, “Seek pleasure as a means to maintain their power. If you can imagine…”

When Valeria heard the gossip that left the Queen's lips, it Valeria blushed and laughed a little bit, "Oh my!" She enjoys those intermit moments she has with her husband but she can't imagine doing it for power. She respected her husband a lot and a part of her miss him. "I wonder what gossip we can hear well we are drinking tea." She smiled at the queen.
