The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

(this is a one shot of Eirwen preparing for Tribute)
It was almost time and the bug red head had given a task, a how he said 'insider information on a bountiful Tribute' kind of task. She'd been collecting them at night for the last few days and tonight she'd collect her lassst one! This Girl that hobbled with the eerie coolest and calmest Eirwen that anyone had ever seen (This Girl she had no name because she had no dyr) was on her last leg, literally, last season she'd lost a leg to infection. Parents dead. No siblings and possibly no future. Eirwen took great pity on the Nameless often thinking that just putting them down was far merciful than how they lived.
She was 12. This Girl had been promised a good hearty meal and Eirwen would deliver all they had to do was make it back to her wagon where the other three 12 year old dyrless children waited; how did she get them to stay? Eirwen promised them food and soft feather stuffed beds, when her shifts were over she came home to play with them! She really did enjoy it, she had even taught them a silly little comfort song; the same one she was teaching This Girl:
"All you that in the hole do lie,
Prepare you for tomorrow you shall die,
Examine all yourselves, in time repent,
That you may not to eternal dirt be sent,
And when the sun’s bells in the morning tolls,
Dyrless above have mercy on your souls.’
They sang in unison. They giggled and smiled. All the way home.
