[For Akagi Llewellyn ]
Her little lady feet carried her through the palace to Akagi's office. It had been a while since they discussed Lorendale, the Gifted and Dresmond, but Cordelia had since then worked on ideas. The woman arrived at the office and knocked on the door. If there were guards present, they would let her pass because they knew who she was.
Cordelia peeked out from behind the door and smiled at her nephew, the king. "Good morning, Akagi." She entered the room fully and walked towards his desk. She would take a seat and put some papers down before she folded her hands in her lap. They had agreed on talking about this, so her arrival wouldn't be a surprise, normally.
"Let me cut to the chase right away, I've written down a proposal for Lorendale." She handed him the paper and waited for him to speak or read it.
"We can, of course, adjust is so it is to your liking and in your name."

Dear majesty the Queen, Iliana Rainecourt,
In this fight against the Eldouir and the liberation of Dresmond, king Akagi Llewellyn, and I, Cordelia Olivarius, King's Hand, would like to propose an arrangement of sorts that could benefit both our kingdoms.
Our enchantments are fueled by the souls of people. They don't require an entire soul, thus they do not leave a person completely soulless or deceased. It is barely noticeable. We would like to harvest part of the souls of Gifted citizens, so we can experiment with creating enchantments that wield the Gift of its soul. With this we hope we can stand a better chance against the Eldouir, by fighting them with Gift-altered enchantments.
Arynn Frey hasn't seen war in a long time, until the Eldouir destroyed our wall, and while we may not have the greatest soldiers compared to Lorendale and Nevermere, our enchantments should not be underestimated.
How you would implement the harvesting of souls in your kingdom, is up to you, of course. Whether it is something offered to the Gifted in return for something (possibly we could provide Lorendale with enchanted weapons) or if it is a punishment for Gifted that don't obey the law, is the queen's choice.
What we offer in return is aid in the battle against the Eldouir, an allyship with Lorendale which strengthens the allyship with Nevermere, and enchanted weapons in the battle to come.
We hope to hear from you soon.
Best wishes and the kindest regards,
Cordelia Olivarius
