Akagi had set aside his tools and paused his enchanting for a meeting with his brother in law Cassian. He quickly cleaned himself up with an enchanted wand that with a single wave cleaned any debris off of him.

They would be meeting in his study today and that's where Akagi would enter with the usual chipper glow Akagi illuminated something that was a vast contrast of his always stoic and never smiling brother in law but it didn't bother Akagi at all they had a good relationship Akagi felt.

"You're Majesty, I apologize for my lateness, I hope you haven't been waiting long," Akagi would offer a seat but would remain standing if Cassian did, "Would you like tea or anything before our meeting?"

Cassian dipped his head respectfully when Akagi entered, and took the seat offered to him.

“Nothing for me, thank you.” He never took anything during his meetings in Arynn Frey, not with Kimora and not with Akagi. He never offered an explanation either.

“Thank you for keeping Lorendale’s prisoner. I trust she hasn’t given you any grief?”

Akagi took his usual sitting position, feet in the chair on the balls of his feet and he himself would take the usual sugar buzz of tea.

"The Eldouir woman has been relatively quiet, aside from her flirtoues nature that's made a few people uncomfortable, she's been manageable," Akagi sounded pleased, "I believe she's not very fond of where she's being kept, enclosed spaces seem to bother her by the reports given daily...I presume she'll go on trial soon?"

Cassian nodded.

“The request to hold the trial in Arynn Frey is going to be coming to you soon.” He knew Iliana wanted Scout present, but it did no harm to give the prince a heads up. “The verdict is already decided.” He paused for a moment, then slowly suggested, “If there is time between her sentence and the execution, I should like to plant the idea of harvesting her soul into two stones. Joint magical items for the kings of Terra Nova.” His gaze had been on something behind Akagi as he said it, but once he finished it zeroed in on his brother-in-law’s eyes. It would be a shame to waste such power. She’d end up dead either way, which was her punishment. Perhaps there could be some use for her yet, use that would benefit the kingdoms and give them the means to face Eldouirs in the future.

"Oooh," was Akagi's response, "The plant has took root brother in law," he paused slightly embarrassed, "Your Majesty...consider me on board because that's simply a brilliant idea," Akagi definitely couldn't hide his intrigue and wonder so he hoped Cassian wouldn't mind some deeper diving, "Joint magical items for two...Kings? What of your wife and Queen of Lorendale? Elena Eldouir is still her citizen and prisoner...would she not want a piece of soul? A three headed dragon is not better than two?"

Truth be told, Cassian wanted the souls entirely for himself. Sharing with Akagi served to ensure the item would be pursued. Splitting it three ways?

“I am king of Lorendale, too.” He reminded Akagi, a bit wryly, though nothing in his expression changed. “And as I understand it, the more the soul is split, the weaker the item.” He let Akagi sit with that for a moment before continuing, “And on the topic of enchanted items, I know you are no stranger to the conditions of the alliance of our kingdoms. Are you aware of the failure to deliver on requested enchanted items spanning years?” Cassian wanted to believe it was just Kimora’s negligence. Surely his brother-in-law would make good on the promises of his mother.

"My Mother's failures will not be mine," Akagi said bluntly his usual happy demeanor pausing, his tone serious, the sigh that followed had shifted the conversation once again, "I will immediately be taking over any project discussed between you and my Mother, I'll see to the completion of what was promised," his voice was stern still as he continued, "Please continue with your idea."

Cassian was sure, as he observed the change in Akagi’s demeanor, that he would do what was promised.

“I will deliberate more on the idea.” He said, responding to Akagi’s immediate request, “As for enchantments for Nevermere, there weren’t many that your mother created time to work on. After seven years I expected to have accomplished significantly more. Perhaps you have an enchanter you might send to Nevermere to work with me in my requests?” An ambassador, essentially, but one specifically handling enchanting affairs.

"My brother, Sylas Llewellyn, he is my ambassador and a very gifted enchanter," Akagi quickly thought of hus brother and perhaps he was best suited for this task it would still have him working on his social interactions AND his love for enchanting, "He is also capable of two enchanting styles, the first really, I to have recently unlocked the ability to enchanting another style..so you'll have Sylas and I both as your personal enchanters; that's double the shrine enchanting and one for Aura enchanting and the other Saga," there was passion in the young King's voice as he spoke a clear picture of the work needed to just make the image sharper, "You will find that I will honor our alliance brother."

Sending Sylas here? At one point in time that proposition would not have been appealing. Now, however, with Akagi pulling the strings, he thought it might be a more sustainable arrangement.

“Under certain conditions it sounds like a fine idea.” Cassian confirmed. “Your presence will surely be scarce as you tend to your kingdom, but I will be grateful for what time you are able to make. With your enchantments and Nevermere’s military strength, I am confident no foe will be able to stand against us.” He spoke of they that must not be named, of course, because to say their name breathed life in the fear of them, and Cassian refused to be afraid.

"Sylas can be more ready available in house for you while I remain behind and work on other aspects of the items," in fact as they had been speaking a pen had been writing down Akagis already bustling idea, "And focus on my kingdom. But I'd like some advice, guidance, Cassian...you've played this game and have been in your role for a long time; Arynn Frey has been stuck in its ways for as long as I've been alive sixty two long years...our military has been abandoned for a long time, how do I fix this and make them ready?"

Cassian nodded, agreeing to what Akagi thought would be best. As long as he received the assistance, he didn't mind where it came from.

"If you need more military personal then you might consider a draft." He said it a little tongue in cheek, though here was no tonal indication that he didn't really mean it. A draft in Arynn Frey? Never. The kingdom was one of scholars. Of course they wanted to read books instead of pick up weapons. They didn't need weapons. Their magical items had protected them for so long. "Otherwise...capitalize on our treaty. I have military to spare. And monitor the use of magical items in Terra Nova." One of his eyebrows raised slightly. Surely Akagi knew that Coheed had had magic items and used them against Lorendale. If Arynn Frey got sloppy and started giving handouts to any old person, they'd find themselves irrelevant and suffering at the hands of their own devices.

Akagi had done planned a head, any weaponized enchantments made henceforth for the hands of other kingdoms would come with a certified expiration date and should they find themselves turned upon the nation that created them the enchantment would be deactivated.

"Ellora Roquefort, a rogue enchanter who lived among Coheed men? Or perhaps the ship that was taken by a Gifted man? Those are the most aware incidents that I know of, but yes I am willing to lean on your military night your Majesty just as I'm prepared to bolster your soldiers with enchanted weapons," Akagi leaned back in his chair, "All necessary precautions will be taken on all fronts with the placement of enchantments of course, I won't allow the Eldouir or other unknown forces getting their hands on our weapons."
