Friends of course he just saw her just as a friend. but it doesn't mean it didn't sting to hear it. She didn't show that it hurt, giving him a soft smile. "There is no need to apologise Isaac. I should be the one to say sorry." To be fair, she never really had to express how to be honest with feelings to take it slow. Both Leander and Kaalim it was clear what they wanted and that they cared for her, however things her are different.

Things go slowly, taking a sip of her drink.

She was young. Young women developed crushes fast, but he was still surprised it had been this fast. Or well, he assumed she had a crush because he wouldn't know why else she had thought this would have been a date. He wouldn't linger on it, though. There was nothing going on between them, at least from his side, so he would just act the same as he had done beforehand.

"It's quite alright", he said, not making a fuzz. He took a sip of his drink. "People van be hard to read, you're right. I do consider myself an open book, so what I do is who I am. You'll never be confused about my intentions, I'll be direct." He smiled at her.

Then he frowned a bit, becoming more serious again. "You say people have told you to be more open. Why is that?"

There was a warm smile as Isaac spoke, "Maybe I need to take a page a page out of your book." Zarha tried to make a joke but she felt like that was a very bad joke, she closed her eyes because she felt embarrassed for herself.

However she opened her eyes and looked at him when he asked about why people asked her to open up. "most, well all of my superiors keep telling me that I should open up more, make more friends, find hobbies that i enjoy, ways I can connect to the others soldiers. Mostly because I was always training, when I am not, patrolling, eating, or sleeping, I am some where training. Even on my days off I would be found running around Nevermere somewhere, by myself. I was, in am way still am a very lone person." She explained.

He understood that she was making a joke, although it sounded a bit threatening. He laughed anyway, to not embarrass her, and because he could see the humour in it.

Her reply to the question made him frown again. "Well, I don't know you well enough to agree or disagree with them, but it is important to have a social life outside of training. That being said, it sounds like they recommended friendships, but you're telling me you're having a hard time dating. They're not telling you to find love." He laughed, in a positive, motivating way. "Maybe people will be easier to read when you try to make friends, and not find a date?"

Zarha looked down at her drink, "I have tried making friends has just been a challenge, I guess I just haven't learnt how to read people yet." She explained softly. She thought that this was a date so she read this all wrong.

"Hmm", he said, rubbing his beard. "And what's so difficult about reading them? Knowing their intentions, or knowing what they think?"

He wanted to help her, but he wasn't sure if he could.

When he asked the question Zarha thought for a bit, she always thought soldiers who don't want to put the effort like she did were odd and weren't worth getting to know, but then again that was years of blocking off anybody who wanted to try and get to know her. "I think a bit of both, at the same time I always thought that they were just trying to distract me from getting stronger and that it was a challenge to see if I was easily distracted. Plus when I thought i have got a person, well..." she wanted to say she end up wrong.

Isaac chuckled softly at her response. "Your fellow soldiers aren't the enemy, Zahra. They're not trying to keep you down. I do understand that it's hard to make friends. I wish I could give you advice, but I'm in the same boat. Don't let it get to you."

He took a big sip of his drink.

Zarha smiled warmly. "enough about me. We are here to have fun and have a good night out." She said as she drank some of her drink. Mostly because she hate talking about herself and people knowing her too well. So she tries to change the subject. "How about we do some dancing?"

He smiled at her, and nodded. "Let's do that, but let's leave enough room for your Goddess", he said with a chuckle. He didn't believe in their Goddess, but kost witches did, and it was a funny expression used by the older generation to make sure the youth didn't dance to close to each other. "I have no knowledge of the dances Nevermereans do, though."

Zarha laughed softly at him when he mentioned leaving enough room for the goddess. For Zarha she doesn't care too much about the goddess like she wouldn't go to the festivals that celebrate them. but she doesn't dance that much. "To be fair I don't know how to dance, let alone any of the dances that the nobles do." As she isn't a noble and she not planning on learning on how to do any the noble dances because she doubt that she will need to be able to do a waltz or any other forms of ballroom Dances.

"From my knowledge it a lot of moving to the beat of the song."

Isaac glanced around to see if other people were dancing and if he could mimick their moves. He saw some casual dancing going on. He placed his hands on Zarha's arms, and tried to dance.

Zarha take a deep breath as she this as a good sign that she can do this. "relax Issac, I promise I won't break, feel the music." She smiled as she placed both hands on his shoulder. Even though it not a date she wanted tonight to go well and enjoy it for the both of them.
