The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

Ibrahim would, like the king, head to bed sooner than the others. He had let Ares Bashar off his leash, because he trusted the man. He could do what he wanted: mingle or turn in for the night.

(Permission from Eloell to have Ben join)
Ben had been thrilled to be one of the guards chosen to attend the tour. One of his favorite parts of being a royal guard was that he got to see the world outside of Skia and this was just another example of that. He had been a royal guard for many years now and knew his duties well. He was trusted and reliable. He had been scheduled for patrol for the first half of the night and wouldn't get to sleep until the early hours of the morning, catching just enough rest to not be totally dead on his feet for when they were on the move again. He had been just as threatened as most when Alys' summoning first showed it's face. Thank goodness nothing too dramatic had actually happened yet. Hopefully it wouldn't.
He watched as the King departed for the night and continued along the path of his patrol, keeping a watch both on the area outside of the camp as well as within it.

Vesper noticed the change in @alys right away. When she'd first met her she'd been a broken woman, lost in all the tragedy that had befallen her and recovering from an attack. Vesper was one of the few who knew what had happened to Alys, having been told by Hadrian. Yet now her wounds were healed and it seemed her spirit was as well. It made Vesper incredibly proud to see. "As you should," she replied. People needed to reminded that Alys was the King's Witch for a reason and that she wasn't someone that could be stepped all over.
"It was fine, about as exciting as one would expect. There is a buzz around for the excitement of such a tour as well as the general aching and mumblings of travel," she explained. "All in all, nothing to report."
”Uneventful is better than the opposite in many ways. Though,” her eyes glanced around. Over the years, she had been around enough nobles to recognize most of them there now. “Who knows how long until some of them start to trouble,” she whispered it between her and Vesper Delvaux, so no one would over hear before she’d nod to the mess tent. “Join me?” Alys wouldn’t turn down the company of a friend.
