Rhedara’s eyes popped wide open at Vesper’s name, and the girl began to bounce excitedly in place, nausea almost forgotten, “Oh! I’ve met her!” She couldn’t keep the excitement from her voice, not that she tried to tone it down, “She likes potions like I do, and…and!” She thought of her meeting in the woods with Vesper, how the two of them spoke of how the use of different mushroom may effect the same potion, “she’s my hero,” strong words given how little she’d actually seen the scary witch, but Rhedara had felt a certain kingship with her. It had been too long since she’d spoken with another witch like had a passion for potions like she did, “So you’re wanting to pursue her?” She was inclined to help Othello out before, but her intentions became a little more selfish now that she knew who she would have to play wing lady against.

Othello would be right that Rhedara was more of a loner, but had found a kindred spirit of sorts in Vesper who also seemed to prefer going about things solo. It had been nice, almost therapeutic, to talk potions with the older witch. It had been a long time since Rhedara had been able to “talk shop” with another witch. She reckoned the last time she’d spoken to anybody about potions had been with Tor, and he’d been too busy lecturing her about her relationship with Raff. It turned out he’d been right to warn her about her former lover abandoning her. Briefly, she wondered how he was doing, but soon abandoned thoughts about him. He’d left her too, after all.

Othello didn’t seem to have much to say about his supposed lady love, “So…? Does she seem interested in you?” Better yet, had the two even spoken to each other? It helped to know if the object of his affection knew that he existed.

If he didn’t seem interested in talking about Vesper more, she would try to change the subject, “You know, I don’t know my way around here,” she put her hands on her hips, “You ought to show me around. What’s there to do around here?” From what she had heard, it was mostly brawling and grunting at each other, although that couldn’t possibly be true.
