The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Blast Generation - Avalon is able to generate blasts of powerful, pressurized air at whatever she targets.
A pressure-force generates in her core that creates a blast. She can direct this blast at people or objects. This means that if someone stands in the way of the blast force, it will not go through the person but hit them instead. If someone knows about her Gift and is feeling heroic, they would be able to throw themselves between her and her target to intercept her attack. This would result in them taking the blow.
The force of power behind Avalon’s blast is determined by how much she “charges” the attack. Charging looks like her focusing contained magical power into her core that she then releases at will. An attack with lesser pressure will be generated and released in a single post. An attack with moderate power will be charged for one post and released in the next post. Her most powerful blasts need to be charged for two posts and released in the third. For context, the most powerful blast from Avalon can tear apart stone, earth, and sometimes even metals.
Apart from power, Avalon can also manipulate the size and precision of her attacks. Sometimes they are large and all-encompassing, like a hurricane, and sometimes they are small and specific, like the loosing of an arrow. She can release any size in a single post, and the wreckage it causes is then determined by how much power she charged into it.

Avalon made a tutting sound with her tongue. "Your questions are exhausting", she said. "Here I was, thinking I finally got away from my daughter asking me 'why' about everything, but your questions are just as annoying." She took a bigger sip of her glass, which was now almost finished, and put it down on the table. "But since you asked, the answer is both."
Tybalt didn't seen happy that she had brought up Arynn Frey. "Why should I be worried?" she asked, her tone indicating that whatever he said would not be something that would give her a sense of right or wrong, or make her feel sorry at all.
Arynnite armor: The armor have two states: active and inactive. When inactive, they look like little more than ornate metal bracers, easily ignored. When triggered, the armor covers Tybalt and serves as an exoskeleton. It will protect its wearer from physical damage and is practically indestructible.
The armor has a certain "preprogrammed" purpose which is to protect its host. To do so, it reacts to heightened emotional states such as fear and anger, at which point the armor will trigger regardless of whether or not Tybalt wants it to or even if he's immediately aware of the threat. It has some degree of awareness and sentience although very basic and one which struggles to differentiate between enemies and friends. Whilst not actually in possession of a will, the armor can guide or direct its host in a specific action, much like a reflex.
The armor needs to be "fed" as Tybalt has discovered meaning that he must hold and absorb through touch certain metals such as steel, copper, iron and tin, a process which takes a few minutes. Without which, the armor will begin to weaken and become less effective until no longer able to manifest.
Perhaps its greatest weakness is that if being consistently bashed or beaten, it would begin to repair itself by using parts of the armor from elsewhere. For instance, if the wearer is being consistently hit in the chest, the armor will begin to pool away from other parts of their body such as the feet and hands, leaving them vulnerable.

Tybalt leaned back into his seat, and let out a sigh. He looked up at the ceiling of his office. He felt tired all of a sudden, and took the opportunity to close his eyes. "Well, you certainly found the latter." If he was being 100% honest with himself, the commander had quite enjoyed the opportunity to pick a fight with Avalon. It let him drop his guard a little, and deal with some of the frustrations and vent them against something other than a training dummy in the yard.
He would open an eye lazily to glance towards Avalon, trying to access whether or not she was being serious about her questioning why Arynn Frey was a danger, or if she was attempting to be coy. "They're an ancient kingdom. One with very powerful magic. I'd say that you, and your family have just poked a potential sleeping tiger."

"And it seems like I'm also keeping a certain tiger awake", she said, having taken notice of Tybalt resting his eyes. She looked at him in silence for a few moments, trying to decide whether she would respond to what he said about Arynn Frey or not. She didn't really consider them a threat, but she had made them even bigger enemies by killing their king. Still, she wasn't worried. Arynn Frey was known for its pacifistic approach, and their Peacekeepers were not really something she feared. "Do you need to go to bed, my lord?" she asked, and although her voice had a teasing tone, it was also a genuine question. She had taken a liking to Tybalt, and if he wanted to go to sleep, she would keep herself busy by lounging on the throne again, or sleeping in the Queen's bed.

Tybalt was half-expecting the woman to try to offer to join him if he was heading to bed. It came as a pleasant surprise when she didn't. "Well, as you so astutely pointed out, I'm not as young as I once was, and keeping an eye on mischievous Eldouir takes a lot out of a man." That, and probably taking a drink of whiskey wasn't the best idea that he'd ever had. Still, he'd kept Avalon Eldouir busy for at least a little while, and perhaps learned a few somewhat interesting pieces of information. It was all things that he would better be able to process things when the alcohol had eventually cleared his system.
"If I do retire, what are the chances of you getting yourself up to yet more trouble?" The commander couldn't help but ask, his tone could almost have been construed as being playful.

She had thought about offering to join him, but his responses to her advances had become boring. It would have been more fun if he was either tempted to accept, or if it would have angered him more, but he just relatively kindly turned her down each time, reminding her he had a wife. So, she wouldn't bother anymore. She was sure she could find someone else to taunt with her advances. Maybe prince Augustus. He was handsome as well. Avalon found his description of her funny, and she chuckled softly. She decided to finish her drink and placed the glass down on the desk one final time.
"If it means I get to play around longer, I'll just be a good girl and go to bed as well", she said with a wink. Thinking about the Queen's bed had made her long for a bed, any bed. Or maybe a bath. A palace should have a bath, right? Dresmond's tubs or buckets of cold rainwater were not very pleasant, at all. But a warm bath? That would hit the spot.

Tybalt managed to wake himself up a little. This was neither the time, nor the place to be allowing himself the luxury of nodding off. He placed the empty glass of whiskey onto his desk, and pushed himself up from his seat. The booze seemed to have taken at least a little bit of the edge off of Avalon. That or it had made him less sensitive to it. Whatever the case, she no longer struck him as quite the same pest that she'd been a short while ago. In short, he felt a little bit more comfortable about letting her go. He would move to accompany her to the door of his office. With luck, this would be the first, and the last time that he had to intervene.
Not that Tybalt believed that for an instant. No, he got a feeling that Avalon was going to become his new Imelda...
"Good." He declared when she told him of her intention to go to bed. With the palace as quiet as it was, he was confident that he would hear, and be able to intercept Avalon before she got herself up to any more mischief. "You make any trouble, and I will most definitely hear about it."

Avalon got up from her seat when Tybalt did, and walked with him towards the door. She turned to face him again when they reached it to listen to what he had to say. He couldn't help but to tell her to not cause any more trouble, which made her laugh. "You shouldn't give me so much power, or I might just keep you up for the fun of it", she said, but she was clearly joking. She would open the door and take a step outside. "Don't dream about me, if you can help it." With another soft laugh, she would turn away from the door, starting to make her way down the corridor again, this time in the direction of bedrooms/bathrooms.

Tybalt wouldn't respond to any of Avalon's provocations with anything more than a roll of the eyes. He was quick to shut the door as soon as she left. He would linger there for a few moments, with his ear pressed against the wood to listen. As soon as he was confident that she was actually going to do as she had said, and was indeed heading towards the bedrooms, he would pull away and let out a heavy sigh. It felt as if the weight of a mountain had just been lifted from his shoulders.
He was most definitely too old for all of this Eldouir family nonsense.
He would make relatively quick work of checking the ensuring that most of his most important duties have been tended to, before making his way to his bed. The experience was a bitter one. He missed Felicity, and longed for her in the darkness. Even Sky, who had spent the past nine years sleeping by his feet was absent. It made his nights quiet, and lonely. Hopefully, it would be over soon enough.
A few days in to this bizarre cohabitation, and the commander was going to count this encounter with Avalon as a very minor victory.
