The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

[ One shot - open to any played marshal documenting how they chose to respond to her call ]
Never in her life had Felicity expected to be in the position she was in. Never had she aspired to it, either. The situation, however, called for action, and she was among those willing to act. Lorendale was in need, and the Zak family was well known for being among the first to answer that need, always.
Prince Augustus Rainecourt had requested that she rally the troops, thus that is what she sought to do. Big armies, small armies; Marshals with a good standing with her, and ones she didn’t know; it didn’t matter. Felicity visited the biggest dogs with great strength and number, and wrote letters to the other. The crux of her call? The monarchy was calling on them to take up arms. To be ready. To rally together. To prepare to face the Eldouir.
It was daunting. Of course it was. But the Marshals of Lorendale were the kingdom’s only defense. Felicity didn’t want to die, but for the right cause she would.

Helena, as luck would have it, had been in Loren when the Eldouir had made their presence known. Her son had sent her news promptly, and some instructions in the hours following. The 500 Kanesmen who had been guarding Remiel's school had been ordered down south, with his students. They would take them to the family's lands on the border between Dresmond, and Coheed.
They would carry the news of what had happened to Tybalt's uncle, Tiberius and the rest of the family who would issue a call to arms. It would take a few days for their forces to rally from across the countryside, to take up arms, and be ready, but when they were, the entire force would stand together to face the rest of the world. They would send word to some of the neighboring marshals, and armies: the Riordans, and Blackthornes especially.
In all, given the sizeable distance between Loren and the Kane lands, it would be almost a week before Felicity would receive a response.
It was a very simple letter, and could be read in far less than a minute:
The Kanes are ready.
