The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Ring of enchanted combat: ring that, when twisted around the finger three times, enhances one's combat abilities (the equivalent of ten additional combat points).
Sometimes it was funny to Scout how intertwined everything in the kingdom was, although it did also make sense. First, she had met Dresden, who then happened to know her good friend Astor. She also met a commoner woman named Ikisina, who also knew Dresden and Astor. A broken heart situation had occurred between her and Astor, who had turned her down after Dresden had motivated her to confess her love for the Porter. Now she herself would possibly be marrying Astor and she wasn't sure how Ikisina would feel about that -- not that it kept her up at night. During this period of time, the Lady Steward had met up with Gideon DeCarlo, who had suggested community meetings for the people of Loren, something Scout had brought to the prince and he had given her the green light to organise one. She joined forces with Annabeth Andino, her potential niece-in-law, and would soon be meeting up with her to discuss the meeting. All the wedding plans were still under covers for now. Her family had to agree to them first before she could publically come out with it.
And now she was on her way to visit Santiana, Gideon's sister. She wasn't exactly sure why, but Scout liked to be familiar with the nobility of the kingdom.
The Lady Steward brought her horse Alfie to a stop right before the gates of the DeCarlo estate. It was a heavily guarded estate and she knew she couldn't just waltz right in. The small woman got down from her horse and nodded towards the guards. "Scout Kane, here to see lady Santiana DeCarlo, if she is available." She put a smile on her face, positive that the guards would recognise her as the Lady Steward.
