[ Potential One shot… ]
Myla waited all of a day before she knew who she needed to pay a visit to. Not because she was vengeful against him or looking to pick a fight with him. No. She actually waited a day because she really didn’t want to talk to him but she had heard that he was there. The Queen named him as the gifted who would be directly partnering with her on the Keep. And he had been seen taken into the palace… and leaving it.
If there was a gifted who wouldn’t run in fear or immediately rat her out, she had more hope in him than anyone else. Myla didn’t use the front gate. Didn’t bother with the guards that night. She didn’t have the patience to play doe-eyed innocent gifted coming to Remiel for shelter and help. No more damsel in distress for her.
Instead she mimicked Elena’s gift, lifting herself into the air and over the walls of the Keep, high above until she was able to slip into the tree she knew as the place Remiel used as a home. She had been welcomed inside at one point. Slipping to a porch like landing, she’d wait and listen for a moment before she was moving to enter the space. Her feet making no noise as she moved softly and slowly through the home, her body tingling as her gift pulsed over it. No need to get injured because she startled someone. She’d find a lounge, and stretch out across it as she waited for her presence to be felt or for morning light to come and rouse the house.
She had some questions that needed answer. Yet as the light came, as she got curious and searched the home, finding no one... she rummaged through the food pantry and stared out at the cows that seemed to inhabit the Keep... yet she convinced herself it wasn't enough. So by the third night since the address, when it was obvious the only people who were going to be found were those who worked there, she left.
Myla headed east and came across the next farm. A farm that had a whole herd of cattle and it was rather easy with a few flicks of her wrist to wrangle them all into a spot that was over a hill, away from the farmers house that was still quite a distance away, she went to work. By that, she encapsulated the cattle with her energy and rattled the energy enough around them that explode. It was quite a mess that she kept contained before she laid it like an offering pond... she expected Hiram Eldouir would feel it. A sudden large amount spilled and in Lorendale? She had no doubt that he knew where her and Elena had gone, even if Drystan hadn't ratted them out.
So she found a large rock beside the red stained grass and dirt, and sat on it, waiting. Slowly brewing because she knew from the chatter at the Keep from the workers, that the palace was preparing for them. Myla would only wait for Hiram until sun up before she'd head back towards town.
And it'd be such a waste for the Royals to put in that much effort and the Eldouir not show...
