The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

Gianna didn’t know what to make of him not replying. Her eyes darted, looking for an exit, not that she’d try gobbling off. No, Tallis had guaranteed her stability, and it was more than she’d get as a runaway.
When his magic began to work—because the warm, filling, tickling, healing sensation that washed over her ankle couldn’t be described as anything else—she gasped and gripped the chair beneath her tightly. It was more pleasant than anything she had ever experienced. Her breathing quickened and her blush deepened. She had the urge to transform, to turn into something equally as beautiful as the healing, like the feather of a peacock or a plush gold couch, but she refrained.
It was gone too soon, and she regretted not having graver injuries so that he might heal her for hours. At his question she nodded stupidly.
“I like what you can do better.” She said in a small voice.

There was a change in her, it wasn't hard to notice. It made sense too. Being in pain could make anyone grumpy, though he had the feeling that her spice wouldn't be entirely faded even with the healing of her ache. Her reply was so quiet and soft compared to before that it more fully drew his attention than any of her angry words from before. "Better than Tallis'?" he asked, with a small smile lifting the corner of his lips. "I can't imagine why," he joked softly.
He reached down once more and took her other foot softly in his hands. Unless she stopped him, he'd pull it up into his lap as he'd done with the other. Callused fingers pushed her shoe carefully off of her foot but this time he did not close his eyes. He couldn't leave one foot completely healed and the other still aching, even if it was only because of her shoes for this one. He kept his gaze on her face as the magic would start to work again, tendrils of pleasing sensations soothing her aching toes.

Gianna didn’t know what to say. If she didn’t know any better, she would have said that Cezar was being forward with her. Especially when he took her other foot.
“That one isn’t…” she protested unconvincingly, but as soon as his magic started she had no objections. Only pink cheeks, a blank expression, and hot eyes.

It was at this moment Tallis started to reenter the room, drifting quietly before stopping to linger in the doorway. Her eyes went from Cezar’s strong hands to the pink on the girl’s cheeks, to the way her big eyes gazed at him as if they could swallow him up. Tallis grinned.
“I hope I’m not interrupting…” Tallis said with a breezy tease as she entered with a tray of bread and cheese, along with a pitcher of water and wooden carved glasses. She sat the tray down, smirking as she glanced at her “husband”.
