The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

Santiana had gone to the lake today for two reasons. One, with the autumn weather, less people would be here and would more likely be at home, less chance for an audience. Two, the leaves had fallen around the estate, making it far more likely she'd set the whole thing ablaze if she were to practice there.
She wore a long sleeved dress that hugged her skin from her arms to her torso, and the skirt was long and free flowing, with a large slit up the side to give her more free movement.
She'd been raised learning to dance ballet, but when Santiana discovered her gift, she quickly discovered a love of dancing with it. She'd kick up sparks, spin ribbons of flame, and even just allow a vortex of flame surround her as she lost herself in its wildness. The latter was what she was doing now, the bright twister of flame following her around the shore line. She was certain she was alone.

Some nobles needed something quick to fill a space, and having his artwork hanging around his studio was a spectacular way to advertise his work. Autumna was his favorite season to paint landscapes in. The world started to die in favor of snow, but it still endured with rich, warm colors.
He was walking around, lugging his equipment for a while before he drew near the lake and...was that a flash of light? For a moment, he thought of his friend, Tianna, but then he realized that the light looked more wild than his childhood friend's did. Was it fire? He drew closer and saw a woman dancing in movements much like his friend. Fire swirled around her, and Alaric found himself transfixed by the shapes she created.
He needed to paint this. Moving quickly, he set up his easel and got his paints out and began to work...
