The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Rian and Magda had sent notice before their arrival. They wouldn’t be gone very long form Coheed and would be back before the notice from Cassian would be received. But in the aftermath of Izen… it was time to finally meet this woman who had taken over once Isolde was stolen away to Nevermere. And Rian left Kaalim Cyrilson in charge in his and Magda’s absence.
They arrived with a few other Coheed warriors, and unfortunately, a few Nevermeran soldiers in tow. But they had seen nothing but the travels, few words spoken, and every night, Rian ensured Magda was safely tucked to his side. As if she was not the one to be feared.
Upon arriving, he’d wait at the boarder for Odina. As they always had. Rian didn’t freely step onto Cambrian land unless invited… not since him, Kaalim, and their father had taken the land.

It was good to leave Coheed; good to have a different horizon, to lay tucked against Rian when the nights grew cold. Magda’s sleep was no longer restful. Her dreams were either fitful or spent entirely elsewhere, in a way she did not yet understand…but Rian was there when she woke. And that was all that mattered. That he was hers.
Magda would be standing alongside Rian, looking more like a barbaric Coheedswoman than a gentleady of Nevermere. The male guards they’d brought with them had been ever eager to serve. They’d not hesitated to follow Magda’s requests, always delivered sweetly with a honeyed smile. Much to the befuddlement of the two witches in their company.
But she was irresistible. It was a cursed, foul creature that lurked beneath her perfect skin, but how were they to know?

Odina was recovering, though she felt weak when she was notifed of the arrival of Coheed, Odina called for Sigyn to help her not only get ready but to accompany her as well. The pair rode side by side on their horses with three Nevermere escorts and three Cambrian warriors (one being Willa Wren the had of th Valkyrie; El even if you don't reply Id like for Wren to be here!), the former of the guards were a mere formality and as tradition went they'd be stationed just half a mile from the private tradition.
As their horses drew near Odina would be helped down by her partner Sigyn and before they approached the Coheedains Odina would take Sigyn by the hand, "Thank you from coming with me," a gentle kiss on her cheek and Odina smiled weakly the tiredness in her eyes evident but full of youthful vibrance, "Shall we?" and hoping Sigyn would still take her hand the pair approached their guests with Wren in tow.
"Chieftain Cyrilson and Lady Ivanova," Odina offered a proper curtsey, "Welcome to Cambria...I am Govoner Odina Ellis," her attention was fully on @rian as he surely wasn't the man she was expecting, she'd seen the Cyrilsons and she knew of their Father and they were all dark skinned and this man was pale just as pale as she was. His eyes sharp and blue reflecting her silhouette in them, something more was being in his presence felt...familiar and yet not at all familiar.
"I believe you should know Willa Wren as she has been amongst your people longer and more often than any other," Odina introduced the beautiful yet very fierce Valkyrie before pulling Sigyn closer, "And this is Sigyn my partner and Witch Doctor..."
Sigyn gladly joined Odina Ellis, and by horse they rode to the meeting point. She helped the woman get down from her horse and smiled when she thanked her and gave her a kiss. "Of course", she responded. She took Odina's hand and walked with her.
She still felt wary of Coheedsmen, but didn't show it. She imitated the curtsy but remained silent. Her body language and face didn't change much when Odina introduced her, but her heart did skip a beat. Her partner. It sounded so good.
Sól tér sortna, sígr fold í mar, hverfa af himni heiðar stjörnur
Wren had chosen two of her best Valkyrie to accompany her on this meeting. One was an expert markswoman with enhanced dexterity, and the other dual-wielded daggers and had enhanced speed. Wren? She was the muscle. All the muscle plus some.
She walked behind Odina and Sigyn, green eyes alert. She had already informed their entire party to be wary of Magda, that she had some kind of magic that could manipulate the mind. Whether that was fact or not was left to speculation. Wren knew herself well enough to know that her last interaction with the woman hadn’t been in character at all. Even the Parabolti had relayed the oddness of how Wren had behaved.
The Head Valkyrie had her mace in a holder in her back, and her stone of invisibility in a little leather pocket hanging from her belt. Her hair was braided back from her face, ponytail left free to flip as she walked.
As they drew near to their company, she wore an expression of unreserved distaste, and not a lick of mercy sat in her eyes. Not for Magda, and not for Rian who had decided to associate with her. She didn’t believe what he had told her in that dark hut. He was a slave to his genitals, and she well knew the control Magda seems to wield over men, starting with but not ending with Kaalim.
She said nothing. This wasn’t her place to speak. When Odina introduced her she gave absolutely no indication of caring to be cordial. Nevermere was the enemy. Magda was the enemy.
They waited, and upon seeing them on the horizon, he shifted. Not with nerves but perhaps impatience. His body still squared off and he stood tall. He didn’t miss the sight surprise from Odina, but he looked to each woman as she was introduced. Wren needed no introduction, his gaze fixated on her harsh features. So beautiful…. So cruel.
“Chieftain Rian Cyrilson,” he stepped forward. Not Governor. Chieftain. “My wife,” he opened his hand to Magda, allowing her to step forward if she pleased, to even take his and to take the step before he’d release her. “Magda,” he said her name before he glanced back at the soldiers who hovered near. Though his eyes flicked back to Wren… she had left him too. Yet the fire he felt for her sparked. She had been the golden light that had saved him those years ago…
He focused back to the Governess. “Do you prefer Governess Ellis? Or Cheiftess?” Her eyes were so blue. So very blue… and Ellis. Struck a cord in him, like an old forgotten song tickling a memory that couldn’t be brought to life.

Cheiftain. Partner. Interesting. She took in every little semantic detail to stash away for later consideration. Magda dipped into a curtsy in response to Odina Ellis’s gesture, eye moving to Sigyn and offering a warm smile. Though men saw Magda with rosy glasses, given her new powers, women did not. Magda’s eyes were black, black down into the magical well that now sustained her.
Magda took @rian’s hand and tucked herself alongside him. It was a strange tableau, a twisted vision of husband and wife all tied up in one another—a dark and unnatural love. Magda wouldn’t speak either. Her eyes would slip to Willa Wren with vague interest, examining her with the same mannerless intensity the Cambrian had brought to the party…though Magda’s lacked fire. It was cold as the being that lived in her skin.

"Yes, Magda, I had the pleasure of meeting her back in Nevermere," Odina replied her hands in front of her with the fingers of each laced between, "and it is a pleasure again," Odina would nod modestly towards the Chieftains wife before turning her attention fully back to Rian Cyrilson. He was entirely different than the Cyrilsons Odina knew and those eyes were so hauntingly familiar, his presence alone played to a very long forgotten memory like a dream that was physically a ghost. Echoing out from nothing inside her head...laughter and crying and screaming.
"Odina is fine with me Chieftain," she had got lost in those eyes, something about them she couldn't quiet figure out, and not lost in lust in fact she favored the big brother when it came to siring children with a Coheedain but it wasn't a wanting of touch but...mystery?
This man was no way like a Cyrilson, she remembered seeing Cyril amongst his few ventures to Cambria to breed his sons. His complexion for one wasn't dark, at all, pure pale boy. Surely no one believed it?
"Forgive me, I'm a little taken back by meeting the son of Cyril Jaggason, you aren't what I expected after the last one...the big one...," she smirked, "nonetheless, thank you for finally coming..."
Odina it was. Well… better than him having to call her Governess. But it also didn’t quite give him a gauge on where exactly her loyalties lied. Was it with Cambria, the place that had raised her and brought her to be the woman she was now? Or was it Nevermere? The new, shiny toy that seemed to give plenty of false promises but not care if soldiers showed up and burned half of their homes down. Not one damn bit of assistance.
Rian would never forget that witch.
But what was out of Odina’s mouth next made his own mouth twitch. “The big one… does that make me the small one?” He asked, his head tilting slightly as he looked down at her. “I figured you would say I was more pale compared to the other sons of Cyril… but small? Don’t wound me Chieftess.” Humor danced behind his eyes even when his face remained stoic. “And thank you for hosting us.” He hadn’t completely forgotten all he was taught in Nevermere.

Odina smiled, actually she even laughed, "I do not mean to wound thee, oh Pale One," she teased, "but truly thank you for answering my request Chieftain, this meeting however I'd like to do a little differently," Odina offered her arm to Rian and should he take it or not Odina would turn them toward Cambria, "Let us take our party back to Cambria where you and I shall hold a more private conversation," she was of course speaking about the Nevermere soldiers that had accompanied both parties (Cambrian walls held better privacy then being on its beaches), "I have a feast fit for warriors being prepared, let us break bread together..."
An improvement he supposed, even his huff of laughter suggested it. Surprised to be invited within Cambria. His last visit there… on their soil… well… he had been one of the reasons that Coheed had taken control over Cambria. But he didn’t linger, he looked to Odina’s arm and he stepped forward, offering his in return as he had been trained to do in Nevermere. But only after he stepped to Magda and pressed a kiss to her temple. His spoke against her hair, voice dropping low, though it was obvious he wasn’t hiding his voice from the enhanced ones. “Ensure entertainment for our shadows.”
Then he stepped away and joined Odina. “Good. I’m starving.” And he patted his belly with the free hand as he walked beside the Chieftess.
