The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

Val laughed, "Well you know i am always down for more training schedule cause you know how much I love training." She smiled. "And what are you going to do with Keir?" Even she was laughing and joking a hint of seriousness was on her lips. She wants them two to get along, Hadrian her dad, Keir going to be her husband. the two most important people in a woman's life.
Val wishes she had her mum beside her somebody who she can laugh with and go to when she needs motherly love, she knows she doesn't know what that is like so, she has no reason to miss it, but she still longs for it time and again. "what was mum like?"

Hadrian shrugged, smiling mischievously, “Keep him on his toes, I’d expect. Can’t let the man get too comfortable.”
At the menion of Ora, Hadrian’s eyes grew distant. A sad smile drew across his face as he cast his mind back into the past. “The world always frightened her,” Hadrian mused, sipping his drink, “Ora never felt like the ground beneath her was solid enough to stand on, so she was always holding on to others for support. Sometimes they were the right people, other times,” Hadrian chuckled sadly, shaking his head, “Not so much.”
He took a sip of wine, eyes brightening a little, “But she was perceptive. Gentle, fiercely loving like you are. But she just never seemed to find a way to her way to happiness.” Hadrian looked at Valeria, eyes misty, “But I like to think she found that in you.”

She laughed a bit "I would say you wouldn't be doing your job as my dad and as a commander if you didn't try and keep him on his toes. But as a daughter, don't go too hard on him, he does love me. As a Chief Petty Officer that is a different matter." She laughs a bit.
However her laughter fades a bit when he talks of her mum about Ora. She traced the necklace that she always wears. "The world is a scary place, I can't say it not. I wish she was still here though, i want to hear her voice and to hug her." She looked over to hadrian her eyes was misty. "I believe she would found happiness in the both of us."

Valeria smiled when he poured her another drink. this is possible the last time she get to have a drink with her dad as a Usher, before she becomes a lady Valeria Denaney. "Thanks dad." She took the glass from his hands. twenty three years of the two of them, twenty three years of her wanting to follow in his footstep, looking up to him for guidence, aid and inspiration.
She laughed a bit and nodded, "Sure dad. A toast would be lovely."

She looked at her father and smiled they both have changed so much over the years and it had it ups and down and they always found a way to grow stronger. She would always be his little girl no matter that she was marrying or that she was twenty-three years of age. He was her daddy, and she was his Minnow.
"To calm seas and weathered skies." She repeated the words as she takes a sip of the wine.

Hadrian smiled, taking a long gulp of wine and putting his glass down on the table. For the first time in a long time, Hadrian felt peace. Hope. Perhaps he would not carry on the Usher name, but Valeria would pass on the Usher spirit, and that was something to be grateful for.
Dinner with Valeria was a welcome reprieve. It brought light to the darkness, which seemed to be in abundant supply. Life would go on. No matter what troubles came their way, they would weather the churning seas, because they were Ushers. And Ushers were sailors by nature.
