The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

This fall and winter was a period of low activity for the site, but even so, the Dresmond board has continued to simmer with excitement. This kingdom has moved from distant side dish to a dramatic main course in the world of Terra Nova. A big shout out to members Heather, Nix, and Darkest whose high activity has helped lead it through a renaissance into a new era!
When you have the full resources of the Nevermerean military at your disposal, your work is swift and thorough. And his lieutenants had it; Hadrian intended to keep his word to Ellison, that he’d do his best to get to the bottom of her sister’s disappearance. But it turned out that the bottom of this mystery was very shallow indeed. The clues were few, and the ones that existed did not lead to conclusions the Morrigans would want to hear.
However complicated their past, the Morrigans were a high-ranking noble family that had—in recent history—served the crown well. Hadrian wouldn’t do them the disrespect of sending a deputy to discuss the case. Once the commander was briefed, he sent word to Adder Morrigan to gather his children (adopted or otherwise) and Rosamere Osxiano ’s husband, Calix Osxiano. He’d meet with them that afternoon.
When he arrived at the Morrigan estate, he expected to find them waiting—or at least, those who could attend. Hadrian would make his presence known, and follow the servant wherever they would lead him.

Word had come from Adder that Hadrian Usher would visit Stormview Ridge to discuss the disappearance of her niece, Rosamere. Gunne had responded, saying she would be present to hear what the man had to tell them. As the afternoon neared, lady Cortell had made her way over to the house she used to live in to meet the family, eager to learn more about the disappearance. Even within the family, there had been some secrecy around the situation, and Gunne was relieved she'd finally be able to hear more about what was going on -- or so she hoped.
After arriving, she let herself in and greeted the servant in the hallway before making it to the room they were all gathering in. She sat down at the table, greeting the family members that had arrived before her, and waited impatiently for Hadrian's arrival.

Keelan had been staying at the Morrigan home for a while since Rosa's disappearance, the more the days went by the more worried everyone was getting. When word got around that Hadrian Usher was coming to see them Keelan personally went to retrieve Rosa's husband filling the man in on the request of the Commander. The pair had arrived just after his sister joining her with Calix, he would hug Gunne a small peck on her cheek before taking his silent stoic position in the corner of the room.

So, this was everyone.
Hadrian was both surprised and dissapointed. It was shameful really: a Morrigan woman, little more than a child, was missing, possibly dead, and this was all they could assemble? His heart went out to Ellison. She’d been so desperate in her plea for help, and to see that there were Morrigans that hadn’t even a slice of her urgency…it was shameful.
But, those who sat before him were excluded from his judgement.
“Before her departure, I was asked by @ellison to investigate the disappearance of Rosamere,” Hadrian said, nearly slipping up and saying death instead of dissapearance. “My leuitenants have done a thorough job in reviewing the evidence we have, which admittedly is not much given the length of time she’d been missing. But, from what we have found,” Hadrian paused, softening for a moment before delivering gently:
“I think you must prepare yourselves for that reality that she is gone.” For good.

They had waited a while, but apart from the Morrigan siblings, no other Morrigans appeared in the room. It caused her to raise an eyebrow in disappointment but she remained silent when Hadrian started to speak.
"What is this evidence you speak of, then? There must be more to it, she can't have disappeared into thin air." She studied the man's face. The notion that she was gone, presumably dead, just didn't work for Gunne. "She can't just be gone without a trace. You can't seriously believe it just happened out of nowhere. Someone must have done something to her, and I refuse to believe it was just an ordinary man. They can't just take a woman without leaving clues behind."

“There have been other reports of animal attacks,” Hadrian said, remaining gentle, “So far out in the woods…these things do happen.” How could she not see? The Morrigans, as far as he was concerned, were grasping at straws. They should start mourning Rosamere, not continuing to cling to the possibility of life.
He glanced at Keelan Morrigan , acting as the soft missioner of his kingdom, not the battle-hardened commander.

Keelan kept his hands in his pockets as the Commander spoke but stiffened as Gunne spoke, it was a hard potion to swallow accepting that Rosamere just...vanished from a mere animal attack? and by the sounds of it the Commander was trying to get them to accept it. She was gone.
"Well Commander it seems we have the most clever of creatures lurking our woods," he removed his hands from his pockets folding his arms over his chest, "I took a few hounds out by the site in which she disappeared, the horse seemed to have been ripped apart from the inside..out..if that isn't startling enough this beast had to have devoured every inch of my cousin, bones and all. Dare to say this but could a witch have turned a man into a beast illegally?"
