It was a rare occurrence but Dresden's words left the woman speechless. She started to realise she had been right by beginning to become suspicious of him and she was mad at herself for letting her guard down all because of the good looks of the Legionnaire next to her. Her brows furrowed but the rest of her face remained pretty much expressionless. The man had shown his true colours, and she had gathered all the information she needed to finish her mental note of him: two-faced, hot-heated, disrespectful. She could have him prosecuted for the vulgar things he had said to her, especially with the tone he was speaking to her now.
The thought of him getting a beating didn't much mind her at that moment. Now she wouldn't have to do it herself. She was angry with herself for playing the noble card because she felt like the things he had said also shouldn't be said to a fellow female commoner. Instead of speaking, she just watched as Dresden started to leave. She hadn't smoked in a while, but a cigarette was starting to sound very good right about now. It was too bad she didn't have any on her.
Mere seconds after she had left, she finished her drink and loudly put the empty mug down on the bar. It made the barman look up, but she didn't meet his gaze, feeling like she didn't owe him any explanation. Then she got up and left the bar. She didn't feel like staying here anymore aften Dresden had treated her like he did. She just wanted the warmth of her bed and a good night's sleep. She'd have to talk to Astor about his friendship with this man. She knew she could put an end to it if she wanted to. Scout had known Astor for quite a while now and she also knew he could be very protective of his friends. The Legionnaire didn't deserve to know someone as pure as Astor.
Once outside, she heard voices from around the corner. She guessed it was Dresden, getting the beating he much deserved. A mischievous smile appeared on her face as she started to walk toward the sound of the fight. When she got there, she saw Dresden lying on the ground with a sword aimed at him. "Good evening, gentlemen", she spoke as she approached, crouching down next to Dresden but instead of facing him or helping him, she picked up the cigarette he had dropped. The woman knew the men wouldn't hurt her and ignored their dirty looks. She then turned towards Dresden, taking the matches from his pocket and getting up. She relit the cigarette and took a long drag. "Good luck, loverboy." With that being said, Scout turned around and started to walk away. The only one who was going to be holding her close that night would be her soft blanket. After all, it was much more trustworthy and reliable than any man.
