The past couple of days, Scout had been training almost non-stop. She knew it was a now or never, or well, now or not for a long while kind of situation and tried to get the most out of it before it'd be too late. That day she didn't necessarily come to practice, but she did find herself at the training yard again. Quite a lot of soldiers were practicing and she let her eyes wander around the yard for a moment before stepping towards a man she recognised but hadn't yet really spoken to. He had just ended a set of practices and was now rehydrating. "Lord Orvar, right?" Scout asked, a smile on her face.

It was sometimes nice to have other soldiers around to have talk about, train with. Talk about how to best serve the royal family. He was a proud royal guard. He was proud that he could serve under the monarchs espically the Queen. She is a strong woman who can in his eyes lead them to greatness. As he drank the water he heard a voice, he looked in the direction to see it was Marchioness Kane. He give the woman a bow. "Lady Kane, what a honor. It is Lord Orvar. Training today?" He often sees her in here training. Sometimes he watched her a bit and appropriate her skills.

The man was polite. She returned the bow with a little bow of her own before she smiled at him. She found herself being able to befriend legionnaires and royal guards fairly easily. Perhaps her military past had something to do with that. She knew what they went through, and they knew she understood. "I wasn't planning on it", she responded. "I was just walking by when I saw you and decided it wouldn't be polite of me to go on about my day without at least coming to say hello. That being said, I'd never turn down a training session." She wiggled her eyebrows, making it clear that she'd gladly spar with him or help him train if he wanted to.

He was raised to be polite and kind, he wasn't one of those guards that because of titles, position or wealth get in the way of being treated equally, plus his Mother would be so upset and disappointed in him if she heard that he said or do anything nasty to one person. She brought him up teaching him to always treat people the way you want to be treated. At the end of the day if they strip back everything, no titles, no wealth, nothing we are all the same, we are all human.

"oh I am always glade to have a sparring partner. These boys over there are no fun." He turned to them his voice you could tell he was clearly joking. He walked into the middle of the training yard. "Don't expect me to go easy on you my lady."

The woman chuckled softly. "What is it with you boys and loving to spar with the Lady Steward?" she joked. She had sparred with multiple soldiers, Dresden being the latest addition to her list of fights. She continued to smile. "Of course not, I'd be offended if you did go easy on me."

The blonde picked up one of the training swords and twirled it around a bit. "Only for a little while, though. Before I know it, I lose track of time and I still have steward duties waiting for me." She laughed, getting into position and waiting for Ghyath to do so as well.

Ghayth laughed at her question "Why does lady Steward love sparring with us soldiers?" Thinking that he should turn the question on her. But to be fair, how can he answer on behalf of all the soldier who she has sparred with. As Ghayth hadn't have a chance to talk to the others, so he wouldn't of been able to know why they enjoy sparring with her.

"Just a quick Spar, M'Lady." Placing a hand over his heart as a promise as he twirl the sword in his hand, with ease as he looked at Scout in front of him and started to swing trying to knock her sword out of her grip.

She laughed when he returned the question, slightly shrugging at the same time. "Who else should I spar with, my grandmother?" It was a playful joke but she was sure that Helena would still be able to beat her ass any day. She had so much respect for her grandmother and loved her to bits. Most soldiers liked sparring with her because it was exciting for them. They knew she had fought against Coheed before she had to retire from the military due to a wound she had suffered during the war. Most days, the wound on her leg didn't bother her, but it did make it impossible to continue as a soldier herself. Now she was 'just' the Lady Steward, but she loved her job.

He promised it would just be a quick spar. That she had time for. Once they were in the right position, they started their little spar. The man swung, trying to knock her sword out of her hand. Scout stepped to the side, letting the sword go right past her before she swung at his shoulder, now that his arm was extended.

Laughing at the thought, "now that would be interesting to see, she seems like a woman who still can give you a good uppercut any day." Even though Lady Helena was older woman she seems like a tough one and won't go down without a fight. Even though Ghayth a tough guy, he possible wouldn't want to be a spar against the lady.

Luckily Scout moved to the side. His eye raised up a bit and a smirk was on his face and he loved a good spar. This was going to be a interesting one to say the least. When Scout went and try and swing at his shoulder he moved his arms into the a spin going low with the next spin trying to knock her down.

She grinned at the thought of her grandmother knocking out a guy by giving him a solid uppercut. She was sure the woman was still more than capable of doing that. If it wasn't with her hands, then she feared for whoever came to stand opposite from her and her cane. That cane could do some serious damage too.

Although most sparring consisted of dodging each other's attacks, this one in particular amused her because it almost felt like dancing. The dodging and the low spins, it made it seem more elegant than a regular spar. She focused on Ghayth's movements. He almost knocked her down, but she jumped back just in time to avoid getting hit. She brought up the wooden sword, to swing in down in a vertical movement, which would force him to put his sword back up to block the attack, if he managed to do so in time.

When Scout swung down he lifted up the wooden sword blocking the attack. He was standing up trying to push Scout away and if he did he will try a swing diagonally across the body. trying to get Scout unbalanced hoping that his height will give him a upper advantage.

Normally his height would indeed give him an advantage, but this was Scout we were talking about. She was small but also incredibly nimble and flexible. And she used a trick she had seen Dresden do during their last spar: she moved the sword from her dominant hand to the other, which was a pretty unpredictable move which allowed her to block the diagonal attack, even though the impact of the sword on hers did make her shoulder hurt a bit.

The woman took a step back and reevaluated the fight, deciding on her next move. She moved the sword back to her dominant hand and lunged forward, aiming for Ghayth's knee.

Smiling at the unpredictable move she still managed to block the attack. "Good move." When she tries to attack his knee he moved to the side and try and grab her free arm trying to pull her and turn her around so her back was against his body pressing the sword against her stomach.

When he successfully pulled his move, turning her around and putting his sword against her stomach, she stopped breathing for a bit. "Excuse me", she mumbled as she freed herself from his grip, taking a few steps back from him and letting go of the air that had built up in her lungs. "I have a- a bruise on my side", she then lied. "I can't have you kick my stomach." She faked a laugh to make it seem like it was just a goofy joke while in reality she was worried that he'd accidentally hurt the baby.
