The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
It was like any day for Zarha, training. She was dedicated to her work, she want to be in the best shape possible for what coming up. She doesn't want to let Nevermere down. She need to be on form, both physically and mentally. She wanted to do her duty as a witch and as a soldier. It was coming to dawn and she was currently in the military ring on her own. Most of the people have started to leave.
"Zarha, you coming. You need to rest." It was her friend Rajka he was currently packing things away that he was training with.
"I will be fine Raj. I just need to spend some time training. I might join you later." It wasn't a promise but he knows that for Zarha training comes first. So he knows better to questioned it.
"See you later, Zarha." He gave her a smile as he started walking off.
Zarha nodded in his direction and watched as he walked away. Taking a deep breath as she walked over to where her Ax is and she picked it up and she started throwing it at a target. Practicing her aim. Even though she can use a sword, she does prefer a ax it was good for long distance and close up. Plus she can throw her ax well still using her sword so it always good to train in both.

It wasn't like any other day for Octavius. He had seen a pretty woman at a tavern, asked around, and found out that she was a soldier. A new recruit, to be precise. He was off shift, not training, and currently seeking her out. Of course, if he found the woman he wouldn't be so brazen as to openly admit that, but it was the honest truth of what he was about.
The soldier, dressed in his civilian clothes, entered into the training yard. There were always people training here, and now was no exception. A quick pan told him that the girl he was looking for wasn't present, so with a tisk of dissatisfaction he made to leave.

She was midst of training with her ax she was getting in the rhythm and having the weight, she really need to update her weapon. She wanted to get better stronger with her weapons with her skills as a soldier. She most be training with the ax for about a hour now before she walked towards the water cooler but she noticed that there was a soldier she noticed around the training wing, looking round for something. "I don't want to assume but you not the sort of person who get lost?" Zarha eyes scan the man in front of her. carrying her Ax in her free hand.
He seems to have a couple of years on her. and seem to have trained a lot, being in the military you kind of have to. Her eyes was soft trying to strike up conversation with a soldier.

Octavius was about to turn when a soldier approached. A very attractive soldier, yes, he noticed. His eyes flickered down to the ax in her hand before bouncing back up to her face.
"A correct observation." He verified with a smirk and a nod of his head. "I'm, uh, looking for someone. But it's no matter." He could tell there was something about the woman, be it her approach or her eyes, that seemed as if she was hankering for some company. While his task at hand beckoned him away, he decided to linger a little. It wouldn't kill him to.
"You don't look familiar. You're a new recruit?" It was his turn to assume.

Giving him soft smile to his smirk. It was the sort of smirk that was attractive to say the least. He was a attractive man, but he also seems like he possible know that he is attractive. "I have a feeling some of them went to have a few drinks at a tavern not that long ago." She tucked a few strand of hair that fell out behind her ear as she looked him over.
"A correct observation." Giving a small smirk as she jokingly repeated the words he spoke. "Nearly a year in the military now, signed up as soon as the mandatory training was over in Hiems. Couldn't say no to the chance to work in the military." For Zarha it was a privilege a honor to be a soldier one she want to progress in and work hard to go far in this career.

Octavius nodded, maintaining his smile, relatively charmed by her flirting but ultimately still with his task at the forefront of his mind.
“Well, thank you for your service.” He gave a dip of his head, the gesture slightly mocking—not her, but just the formality in general. “Private…?” He was asking for her surname.

Looking at him as he dip his head slightly, "At the end of the day, just doing my duty, that all I can do." She not the biggest fan of formalities, but training all these years you kinda got used to going through formalities. It just one of those things that has to be done she suppose. "Sliva. Private....?" Her eyes was soft, knowing she needs to be more open with people get to know people

Octavius shrugged a nonchalant shoulder, because yeah, he agreed--this was their duty to their kingdom. It was also a better life than cleaning rooms and serving drinks, which was his older brother's current daily activity.
"Wulfbrand." He returned, making their meeting official. They'd swapped sentiments and now names. He counted her another acquaintance and potential friend under his belt.
"Well, keep up the good work." He started backing away, determined to complete the mission he had started.

wulfbane. Giving the man in front a faint smile as he gave her his name. "Nice meeting you Private. I hope to see you around more." Zarha hope so, hoping that the next time they meet they will get passed the names bases and get to know each other more. However, he seemed to be a man on a mission so she shouldn't be greedy and want to hold him from what he was doing.
Giving him a slight bow of respect with her head. She went back to training with her ax throwing trying to get back into the swing of things hitting the bullseye with her ax. Trying to figure way to improve her skills.

And with that farewell under their belts, Octavius was on his way. He might have given more thought to the exchange, but he really was preoccupied with the thing--the person--on his mind, and so it would not be until a later date that he'd contemplate a little more on this meeting.
