The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Kelder had sent the ones she loved and the ones she cared about away, her hope was @viveka took her advice and sought Willa Wren in Coheed. The former Valkyrie was dressed in her armor, her bow laid across her lap, and her duel hatchets sat nestled to her back. The usual war paint adorned her face and the fire she by lit up her eyes as the flames danced in them, she sat alone. Hinging on everything on tonight...let them come for her. Live or die she was making her stand tonight, damn the Nevermere Witches, damn the Valkyrie (something she use to love had been so sickly corrupted), and damn those turning a blind eye to Isolde 's sick game. The small hurt she had for @revna had faded she would clash blades with her if need be but it didn't need to come to that all she wanted was the head of Isolde.
There were some things that Revna never saw coming. Seeking out her friend was not a surprise, but armed, under the cover of darkness, and with a group? That was something new, and while it made her heart heavy, the All-Mother was never wrong. Cambria needed to be saved from the disease that was Nevermere, and if it started with making sure Kelder was healed inside and out then so be it. She would follow Isolde 's orders until the end of her life.
Moving with Sigyn and a handful of other warriors, those with enhanced sight were first to see Kelder as she sat alone. Signaling for the rest of the group to fan out, she continued to walk forward, gesturing for Sigyn to come with her.
As she got closer, Revna would shout out. "Kelder, the Priestess calls for you to answer to the All-Mother, will you come?"
@revna had told her what Isolde had asked of her. Sigyn would follow her mother and her acolyte til the end of times, but this was merely the beginning. She followed the brunette, her axes on her hips and a sword on her back, ready in case things would escalate. The rest of the group spread out, but they would approach Kelder. Sigyn left the talking up to Revna. Kelder now had an important decision to make. It was either Cambria or Nevermere, and as a true follower of Isolde and the All-Mother, the latter simply wouldn't do for Sigyn.

Kelder did not hesitate, she to with her enhanced sight stood narrowing her eyes to see figures scurrying in shadows.
"No," she was already knocking her bow with a bolt, pulling back and firing, she put the arrow just between the two approaching her, "It isn't the All-Mother who have blinded you sister's! It's the poison of Isolde the FALSE Priestess!" Kelder cried as loudly as she could, "Marking our women like cattle," she was loading again, and kept two more bolts in her hand, "The brutes of Coheed are known to do that and that disgusted us!" the next bolt would be aimed at their feet. The next who knows.
As they approached, it was clear that Kelder had truly lost her mind. It had been poisened by the Nevermere pair that bedded her, and then further by Wren and Viveka. It was a travesty really, and looking at her know only made Revna more sure of what had to be done.
"You've been led astray sister, we just seek to bring you back home. Let us help you." Undeterred by the flying arrows, she continued forward slowly, not making any drastic moves as the warriors fanned out in a circle around Kelder. This could easily end in peace, but she wasn't sure just how far gone Kelder really was.
The arrows didn't bother Sigyn, who continued to move forward together with Revna, at a slow pace. She paused a moment when the arrow landed in front of their feet, but then continued forward with a hand on the axe on her right hip. She didn't want to use it, but Kelder would decide about that. "The All-Mother will show you the way, Kelder, but you need to come back", she added to Revna's words. It was painful to see a sister, a Valkyrie, lose her fair in the Priestess, their Mother who knew what was best.

This time Kelder abandoned the bow and drew both her hatchets from off her back and rushed at Sigyn using a block of tree stump usually used for sitting around the fire to leap off of bringing one hatchet above her head to come down on Sigyn's head. She'd use the other to defend or block the other woman's attack or break her defense.
It was disappointing that Kelder chose to go down this path, but Sigyn came prepared. The Sanctum Guardian grabbed her hatchets and crossed them above her head, hoping that ideally the head, or else the handles could block the attack. If successful, she would take a step back. "Kelder, sister, please, it doesn't have to be this way."

As Kelder abandoned her bow and reached for her back, Revna knew what that meant. They had trained together long enough that she knew most of the woman's moves, and so before the axes came out she knew they would be. This was not going to be easy, but she would make sure the woman came unharmed to be brought back into the light.
Her hands reached at her belt for her throwing stars, sending one towards Kelder's shoulders, and signaling to the other warriors to start closing in. They needed to disarm her, the sooner the better, and so she pulled her trident off her back, moving forward towards Sigyn and Kelder.
Kelder moved quickly, but she’d already signaled her intentions with the arrows she’d let fly toward her sisters. The trained Valkyrie rushed toward Sigyn with all the power of her training. Sigyn was lucky to raise her axes just in time to prevent the hatchet from splitting her skull. The power of the blow would force Sigyn to stumble backward and momentarily lose her balance.
But Kelder wasn’t the only trained Valkyrie in this fight. With the precision that her enhanced dexterity and sight afforded her, @revna snet a throwing star deep into Kelder ’s shoulder. Kelder would be unable to maintain her grip on her hatchet and it would fall to the ground.
The accompanying warriors would start to close in swiftly. Kelder would have only a few moments to regroup and mount a defense.
The throwing star stung as it penetrated into her shoulder, but Kelder still had one hatchet in hand and she had her anger. There was no stopping this, "fuck your words you blind snake," she spat as she went on a tirade of attacks at Sigyn, she wasn't here to defend, she was here to attack and break bones.
One of Kelder's hatchets fell when the star hit her, but the woman went on to attack Sigyn with the other. The Seer, who still had both hatchets, would attempt to block every attack by crossing the hatchets. The blonde wanted to save Kelder from whatever was poisoning her mind, but it looked like she was going to have to do a counter attack.
If Sigyn managed to block the attacks, she would try to cut Kelder's arm so that she wouldn't be able to use the second hatchet anymore either.

Revna had already cried her tears and mourned the friend she once knew. Now she was in the moment, and capturing this hateful and confused Kelder was the right thing to do. So clearly she needed to be saved, who else would turn their weapons on her sisters so easily. ”Stop this madness Kelder, think of your children.” She needed to heal to be a better mother, in this state she couldn’t even guide herself.
And so she continued forward, aiming to use her trident to take her down without harm. Revna would attempt to wedge one of the woman’s arms between two tines of the trident and bring it to the ground. To hopefully trap without harming.
Kelder had let her emotions cloud her judgment, while the other two remained calm. The power behind her swings, however, was difficult to counter. Sigyn would block the first few attacks before one struck her hand. The priestess’s daughter would have the pinky finger on her left hand taken off in its entirety, her ring finger above the middle knuckle, and her middle finger above the top knuckle. The hatchet in her left hand would fall to the ground. As would her fingers.
But @revna was able to approach Kelder unimpeded, as the warrior had focused solely on Sigyn. Revna would be successful in pinning her down with the trident. One of the tines would graze Kelder’s arm as it descended, leaving a cut about an inch deep. The once Valkyrie had been effectively subdued and was pinned to the ground by the trident.
Kelder being pinned didn't stop fighting, her first instinct was to try and wrap her legs around the shaft of the trident and using her legs to jerk the trident down. If she was successful in removing the trident from Revna's hands or even disrupt her balance Kelder would aim a kick to the woman's face...holding nothing back in the power.
