The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

There was a softly laugh, "Ben this is my first time to a tavern. Shocking I know." Even though she was joking around she had a hint a seriousness in her voice. Cause this was her first time, when she could she would rather stay in the military wing and train or pick up extra sift then go out and interact with people. Now her superiors want her to interact with people. make friends in a way.
"Thanks Ben. what would i do without you?" She grinned at him. "So you was telling me what hobbies you like doing before drunk man bump into us?"

Ben whipped his head up to look at her in surprise. "No shit," he said with a little whistle. "I don't know if that makes you a saint or me a deviant," he said with a little laugh. He wasn't sure he'd ever met anyone her age who had honestly never once been to a tavern. Maybe he just hung out with a different crowd than she did.
"Oh yes, sure," he said, moving to hang her dress where it could dry the most quickly. "What did I say already? I can't remember," he said with a chuckle. "I enjoy hunting," he smiled to himself, knowing that hunting meant more than just animals but also the hunt for bedroom companions which was even more fun. "I enjoy spending time with my kids and teaching them how to use a sword, even if it's just a little wooden one. I spend a lot of time at home with my family these days but also enjoy going out with friends. I guess my biggest hobby is just...people. I like people and getting to know them."

When Ben acted surprise she couldn't help but laugh slightly, "I am no saint i promise. Like come on I am a witch, when are witches ever saints?" Laughing softly thinking about the time at the ball when somebody who she looked up to as a mentor created chaso, in a way murder someone, even though she didn't kill that soldier with her own hands physically, she was the one responsible for it unfolding. Now and then she thinks about that boys head.
Listening carefully as Ben talked about himself, when he mentioned he got kids, there was a part of her heart that ached a bit, of course, somebody as handsome and as Kind as Ben is married and have a family. Even though she didn't show it she put a smile on her face. "Kids are a blessing, my youngest brother he is nearly eleven and he wants to start training already. Well myoldest brother he nearly finished and well I just hope he keep his head screwed on, he a good soldier in the fact that he is skilled but he love acting tougher then he is."

Ben chuckled and nodded in his head in a 'I guess you have a point' kind of way. Witches with their dark magic really weren't saints, that was true. Though some tried to be.
"A whole family of soldiers, huh?" he asked with a grin. "I know a bit about that." The Delaney's were most well known for their military prowess and influence. That was no secret. "It's a good way to make a living and a name for yourself."

There was a soft smile in reality she chose to stay in the military because she is a commoner, there really isn't really much out there for a commoner with limited to no skills. There was a small laugh coming from her lips as she rubbed her head. Who knows maybe in a couple of years Sliva will be a name within the military however, who knows she will be happy if she stays as a private. She knows that her superior will want her to dream and improve herself but she is a commoner and she have to remember her place.
"Maybe one day Sliva will be a well-known name within the military." It was a weak laugh as she looked down. She doesn't want to always talk about work and yet it always happened. "How long have you been hunting? what do you like to hunt?" Trying to change the subject off from work.

Ben gave her an encouraging smile as she spoke of her family name. He had never heard of them until today but that didn't mean that they might not work their way up there one day.
"Usually smaller game," he replied easily. "Rabbits, pheasant, maybe fox. I don't particularly care to go after bucks or anything too big. I like it for the sport more than the meal afterwards," he said. "Not that I waste it of course," he clarified.

It was nice when Ben gave her an encouraging smile. Having somebody to believe in her aside from her captain. She doesn't really talk about where she see herself going within the military, what she hoped to gain, her dreams and goals in life. Most of the times waking up tomorrow will be as good as she going to get. It is the most realistic dream she can have after all. Zarha wasn't from a wealthy family where she had the best education, she wasn't from a family where more doors were open because of her name. So for her to make it in life, she would possible have to work three times harder than somebody who is from a noble family.
Not like she has anything against nobility. Like Captain woodwich is a nice noble and he has helped her a lot.
Her thoughts get brought back when Ben started to talk about what he hunts. "That is still pretty awesome." To be able to hunt for sports more then anything. Being the main carer of 4 children and Zarha is making the most money sometimes it hard to find something that everybody enjoys when she is home. Thankfully her oldest brother and sisters do the odd thing to help out where they can so the family can eat.

Ben checked their clothes as they hung. They had begun to dry but it would be a bit before they were finished unfortunately. It was too bad that witch magic was meant more for combat than for things mundane like drying clothes.
"I do. They are eleven, eight, and four. Two girls and a boy in the middle," he said with a smile, clear affection for his children in his tone.
